Haahahahahaha! That genuinely made me ROFL. No offence to Jeff or Ryan but they are like the jolly fat guys, and we like you for being exactly who you are.

I may be 16 years old, I may still go to school, I may not know shit about coding other than basic CSS, I may live in Sweden... that shouldn't keep me from getting the job amirite?

I can dress in a monkey costume and dance in front of the Giant Bomb offices.

That alone makes me more qualified than anybody here.

Man. I was in software engineering for 2 semesters, then I changed. Should've stayed in it! I know Java and C++ very well, a little HTML, and I'm started to mess with PHP and Ruby a little, but never even touched Python. But I'm willing to learn!

Oh, but I am using an Apache server right now on my site. It's cPanel though, and you're using Dreamhost's own control panel. I tried out Dreamhost's demo panel for a few hours when I was looking for a server to use for my site. I almost signed up for their shared servers. Then I tried out HostGator's. I had to use HostGator's because I've used cPanel before when I built my uncle's site a couple years ago.

As far as editors go: my site is new, so I have a temporary Joomla homepage, but I'm working on a new home page with a great editor. It's great, it has WYSIWYG, FTP, supports HTML JAVA CSS and PHP. I can control MYSQL from it, view tables, and make adjustments. You can trace errors easily. It links directly to the database so any changes I make after I put the page up will be instantly seen. I can view the page before I put it on the server. It has shared editing so other people can edit it, and the changes will show up on my program.
It's Dreamweaver.
The only databases I've used are MYSQL which is pretty simple to view and maintain with phpMyAdmin.

Guaranteed I'll never have qualifications for a job at GB. HTML,XML, VBA, SQL, Javascript, Python, and an advanced understanding of Excel is about all I could offer on the technical side. But hey, if ever there was a need for creating mathmatical models to forecast future numbers, or explain trend variances, or even how to predict future periodic events using auto-regression and/or random walks, I'd be your guy... something tells me I'm stuck with large companies though...which is somewhat disappointing. Building something from the ground up, like GB is exciting. Oh well. :/

Ah man you guys need to put up a better description on the title.  I'm just a nuclear engineer.  Got my degree from one of those schools thats always in the movies.  If you ever need a backup power source, let me know.  I did learn how to code in C++ so how about you give me a couple of weeks and I can learn what you need out of me.

I'm may regret asking this, but what is a mop wrangler? Looking up "Wrangle" in the dictionary doesn't yield any results for things I would expect to be done to mops. "
He likes to argue loudly with mops."

My buddy used to be a janitor. He would tell people he was a Sanitary technician and had a degree in Anti-Microbactria Engineering.

You know, I think its great the dev team is expanding but it just doesnt make sense to me.

giantbomb's business model doesnt make sense at all. How can a website go for nearly a full year now with one publicity? How can you still operate with no apparent sources of revenues? I just don't get it. Somebody explain that to me.

HTML is a very good base to start with, if anyone is interested in learning this stuff start with that, then after you thoroughly learned HTML you'll have an easier time picking up all the other web/server languages.

To whoever's looking for the "badass engineer." I don't really know where to look for a web guru but if your looking for people who know their stuff in python and all the other things you're looking for I suggest you go to the colleges/universities around your area and putting up flyers around their computer science buildings. It sounds silly and cheap but there are alot of interested college students who would gladly do that kind of work in return for an internship. Also I recommend going onto webdesignforum.com or any other webdesign forum for that matter and asking around there. There are many professionals on those forums who may be more than qualified for the job.

def buildABomb(Blanka, Akuma)
     while (Coonce = Akuma)
            if (Sweep = Blanka)
                 printf("Sweep is the winner!")
           else
                 printf("Coonce is a cheap ass bitch with too many fireballs!!")
