PAX East 2014 - The Brewening

As PAX East 2014 gets closer, I am once again preparing a handful of beers for this year's festivities. Those that know me know that I traditionally bring beers to the Giant Bomb panel at PAX East, and those beers are consumed throughout the panel. This year, I brewed three different beers - a super-secret beer for Patrick, a beer for Vinny, and a re-brew of last year's beer for Ryan.

Two of these beers got double batches for Max Temkin and the rest of the Cards Against Humanity crew.

During today's brew day, I put together this video for you all to enjoy! See you at PAX East!

Awesome, I have an Irish red and an imperial stout fermenting right now. Love the idea with the pump and circulating for all that extra sugar, may have to look into a setup like that. Thanks for sharing.

@mbr2: I probably will end up doing this, yes. One of the cool things about doing these videos is finding out where in my process the annoyances lie, and how I can go about fixing them. For example, yesterday's brew day was the first time I ever used the "continuous sparge" method - it's a well-documented technique (see any Brutus build for some info). I'm now looking at replacing my double burner with a single, more efficient "floor" style propane burner, and using a metal tool cart for the rest of my stand.

Really good video man. If you ever take a trip to Manchester, England I would swap you MY MOST FANCY OF BEERS for a Patr-IPA.

Great video! When do the orange peel and coriander come in to play?

@chumm: I tend to do that before I keg for stronger flavor. I may end up scrapping it based on taste tests because of the citrusy hops and the yeast strain I used.
