I'm looking for a 2D platformer (on PC, of course) that is fun on both singleplayer and local multiplayer. I already own 2 controllers so that's not a problem. Examples would be Rayman Legends/Origins and Broforce, but I already own those, so other recommendations would be much aprecciated. Thanks!
Looking for fun PC platformers
Wyv & Keep is a Lost Vikings-esque platformer if you like that, local is limited to two players on one keyboard though. It's not a big deal because the game uses 4-5 buttons per player but if you're not playing with someone you want to get all snug with (or maybe the weather is stupid hot to be that close to someone) then I wouldn't recommend it.
@nime: Yeah, I've been making a list with games I've found and they're not that much to be fair
Rayman Legends/Origins
Broforce
Spelunky
Trine 1 and 2
BattleBlock Theater
Guacamelee!
And that's about it, but I wouldn't expect many more games cause it's a REALLY specific thing
@csl316: With local multiplayer though it would be the best fun/rage combo ever, it would be awesome
@madmadhascrashd: Ah yeah Trine and Battlebock Theater are also good choices.
It's not multiplayer, but I just played through Axiom Verge. It's fucking great and deserves to be selling way better than it is. It even supports DS4 without having to emulate Xinput.
Mercenary Kings & Outland are in the $1 tier on the humble bundle at the moment, there's also the Metal Slug series, Shank 2, Terraria.
- It's top-down, but Riddled Corpses looks interesting.
- SEEP Universe
- Vertical Drop Heroes HD
- ibb and obb
- Bloody Trap Land
- Risk of Rain
Jazz Jackrabbit 2. Several modes: co-op, deathmatch, race, CTF.
There's also a mod that updates the netcode:

Super Cyborg was released recently. Maybe not what you'd consider a straight up platformer, more of a run 'n gun thing. It's pretty much a straight clone of Probotector (the European version of Contra with robots instead of humans), and kinda rad. Got two player co-op online or locally.
