So I Think I Just Bought One on Amazon

Launch day edition showed as In Stock, regular price. I guess we'll see if it was just an error. That would be awesome, as I'm sitting at my computer right now and didn't even leave the house, nor did I pre order.

Amazon just put back up their pre orders after the launch but apparently if you pre order after today you won't be getting one till after December. That's the rumour on the grapevine anyway.

Well, it said launch edition and estimated my delivery for Tuesday. It wasn't a Pre Order, it was an "In Stock." If they turned around and said "sorry," then maybe I'd pull it. :)

They have saturday delivery as a shipping option so......

I didn't realize Amazon had free sunday delivery now, cool.

I'm ok with a $60 impulse purchase, but $400 is pushing it.

@dallas_raines: Sunday delivery is only in New York and LA for the time being.

I'm not doing a happy dance yet, but I'm sure thinking about it.

I'm guessing either a lot of PS4 preorders cancelled just recently or Amazon set aside stock to say they had a midnight launch.

There's no way Sony was able to keep up with the launch demand and we'll see these PS4's readily available on store shelves soon, right?

I canceled my preorder, yet I'm tempted. Honestly though, I'd only play Killzone and Resogun, and my PS4 would lay dormant until... what, Ground Zeroes? InFamous? Whichever console exclusive comes out first.

Amazon sent me and email telling me that they were in stock, and that they were also offering a bundle with the Fire HDX 7:

Still up on Amazon, just make sure you select the Launch option from the different bundles they have available otherwise it will show as out of stock. I may change my mind by the time the PS4 gets here on Saturday, but if I do I have plenty of friends that would jump at the chance to get a launch PS4 at retail price.

Amazon's One-Click Buy kicked my ass.

I was running the PS4 launch stream and had a tab open on a website that has information on the stock of various items. I checked amazon and saw they had the PS4 bundle with the tablet and thought it was too much, so i went to the main ps4 page and bought a ps4. It was an impulse buy I must say, same thing happened when I convinced myself to buy a vita instead of a 3ds at 4 in the morning on Ebay, for 150 dollars.

Now I have the urge to cancel it but at the same time this would be the first time I get a console within the first year of its launch. As soon as I received my order confirmation I got became sad as none of the ps4 launch games interest me. Since I currently play almost all games on PC I guess I just bought the ps4 as a Sony exclusives box. I already have battlefield 4 on PC, Fifa on the xbox, not interested In call of duty, I skipped the ps3 so I dont know what killzone is about, knack does not seem appealing to me. I am still on assassins creed 2, so I dont know if I should skip straight to Black Flag. I think black flag was delayed for PC so maybe I will get it (I dont know Im so confused right now !! ):

Basically the only game I would buy for the PS4, 100% is Watch Dogs or a really good Sony exclusive.

I have no will power. I've pre-ordered and canceled twice in the past few months. I felt pretty good about not getting it until next year when there are more games that I want. Now, it's coming on Saturday.

I know, right? Why didn't I pre order? Cause I hesitated, and then missed out. I also didn't know what my money situation would be come launch. Well, my money situation happens to be a fucking ok right now so a PS4 and AC4 are on their way to my house. I was still debating which one I was going to get, but I knew I'd get one just because it's FUN to get in on the ground floor. Sure, there isn't much that I want to play now, but I'll toy with the free PS Plus stuff, AC4, maybe get Need for Speed in a couple weeks or something, and then once Infamous does come out, I only have to lay down $60 to get it, not $460.
