Any one got an image of the Vita redesign?
Sony Japan Press Conference Thread (Happening Tonight!)
I just noticed that when they talk about prices, they show the before and after tax price. Is that something standard in Japan? If so, america needs to start doing that for everything
Sales tax differs from state to state in the US, so you can imagine why that's not always feasible

I wonder how GTA5 sounds in Japanese.
To my knowledge, GTA games have always solely gotten subtitle treatments when they're brought over to Japan. I'm not sure if it's a mandate from Rockstar or a decision on the part of Capcom, who typically handles localization and distribution for the series in Japan, but the idea is that not dubbing it better preserves the series' sense of Americana for Japanese audiences. From what I've read over the years in Japanese, it seems to be a tactic that's well appreciated and the series is always one of the best-sellers in Japan as a western-developed game that there's no point in changing it now.
As for the conference itself, I've been watching it in Japanese since I'm bilingual and my brain would explode trying to process it in two languages. That translator sounds super amazing from what I'm reading on here and elsewhere, though. I'm envious!
Next generation Dynasty Warriors.
Same as the old generations Dynasty Warriors.
@fluxwavez: The future of cutting dudes on PS4.
Psycho Break = The Evil Within in the US (and other countries??)
And yes, it looks amazing. I hope it lives up to resident evil 4's quality (same type of game/director)
Confirmed, same game. Wow, I am infinitely more interested in The Evil Within now.
@spaceinsomniac: absolutely

A Yakuza game set in Ancient Japan could be interesting.
Not ancient by any stretch. This is about 170 years ago, just a handful of years after America forced Japan to open its ports to non-Asian and Dutch trading partners again.
so is that period basically japanese wild west?
Not at all.
EDIT: I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT IS BUT I WANT IT GRASSHOPPER!!!
