Wel, I am, despite it taking nearly a century to be released. After seeing some more of its details at E3, like the individual game areas for Uncharted and Warhawk, i think its really awesome and might be a lot of fun.
HOME, still excited?
You better be! I'm in the closed beta, have been since May or so, and honestly its a really great tool.
I have said this many times in various forums and places; but I have made so many great friends in Home just from the beta, and the social ability in Home is like no other, its an extension of the PSN, creating a community where all PS3 gamers can chill with each other and talk, play games, get together and so on. It really is something that 360, Wii, and even PC don't have like this. Ability to go to E3 virtually with a bunch of buddies and get in a big group with friends as well as random people and just talk gaming and what they are showing, is really, really awesome.

"besides, even though its taking a while, ITS TOTALLY FREE! so why not be excited!?!"
Yeah I agree, its free and its awesome, you dont want it, your loss, no one is forcing you.
PS- If anyone is lost with Home or just wants to know something about (question) you can ask, more then happy to answer how something works and whatnot.
"All the delays have killed my hype quite a bit.
"
Definitely.
I'll like it when it comes out, but for now, it is swept under the rug.
I don't have a PS3 yet - it looks like an absolutely brilliant killer application to me, and one of the best social tools I've ever seen. Could see me come over to Sony.
Some comments here seem weird. Have there been delays on Home? Has a release date ever been announced? Or is it just that it was announced too early for you?
It wasn't really delayed as long as people make it seem... delayed from beginning of 08 to late 08, OMG!, not a biggie.
Seriously though if you saw Home at GDC and liked it, there is no reason you wont like it now. In fact, if Home was launched when they first debuted it at GDC 07, the current Home (08) could be called Home 2. That is how much improvements and differences they have made.
I'm not so interested anymore. At first I thought it was kind of a cool idea (though I cared much more about the LBP announcement), but the more I think about, the less practical it seems. I doubt I'll want to go into a virtual world to 'hang out' with people, but hey, I'd love to be proven wrong.
With all the delays I've gone through, I don't even believe it exists anymore! Especially if you compare last years E3 press conference to 2008. In 2007 the whole conference was hype for home, with everyone making their presentations through the home interface. This year in comparison, Jack Tretton made a brief plug of it. To me it was as if he said "Oh yeah, and that home thing? Yeah, I guess were still making it...".
I'm more excited about Little Big Planet now.
I've never understood the appeal for Home, while I can for Miis and Avatars. If I wanted to play Second Life, I would.
I'll download it regardless, since it's free.
I'm not that excited. After all those delays I got over it. I'm more excited about the games this fall.

I never knew how home looked like untill this e3 with the clip,
but wouldn't it be cool if it was like an online animal crossing? :)
