During the short conversation about the Vita while Cliff, Greg, and Austin were on the couch, I think Cliff's wife Lauren handed her Vita in and it had an interesting grip attachment on it.

Does anyone know what brand it is or how I can import one?

I'm pretty sure this is the same one. Here it is in black if that's your preference. I was planning on buying it myself once I saw it too, so I looked it up as soon as the stream was over. Unfortunately the grip covers seem to be built for the slims so I'm out of luck on that one. Hopefully my loss is your gain! Side note: The matching analog stick covers are here and here if you're interested.

@ladyshayne: I was afraid of that. I don't have a slim either. Oh well!

The Vita is going to make an excellent appearance on a series like "The Unsung Handhelds of Yesteryear" someday. Don't steal that, I've got the rights!

Here's a super cheap one

http://www.walmart.com/ip/New-PSVita-Playstation-Vita-Trigger-Grips-Black/28878906

And a whole page of other options

http://www.walmart.com/search/?query=vita+trigger+grip

I THINK this is the one I have

https://www.amazon.com/PSVita-Trigger-Grips-Sony-PS-Vita/dp/B0072A4JVW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1466123999&sr=8-1&keywords=vita+trigger+grip

The amazon one is definitely worth the $35. Good luck either way!

If you can wait a bit, Hori is coming out with a new one for the PCH-2000, too. This one's interesting because it's the only one (that I'm aware of) that's mapped L2/R2/L3/R3 sections on the back touchpad to physical buttons.

I don't use grips much personally (I have carrying cases for my Vitas), but definitely see the appeal of them depending on your usage.

As someone with somewhat large hands, I could really use one of these.

Play Asia sells the grip cover for the old oled vita 1000 model here: http://www.play-asia.com/l2r2-button-grip-cover-for-pch-1000-black/13/709ikh.

Playasia also sells the slim grip cover by Joetsu in black and white.

The grip cover for the old vita 1000 has a different lock mechanism. The vita 2000 slim one snaps on at four points from behind and doesn't have a faceplate. The old vita 1000 grip cover has a faceplate that locks it in place. The thickness added by the faceplate might be an issue for some people. I haven't tried it yet so I can't say.

If you look at this video you can see difference between the two: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayOLedlAUrY
