Super easy quest, but here's a thread for those that need help.

I was #30, which is easily my best.

39th, not my best, but good.

Pretty easy set, I got #10 \o/

#11 Posted by RobotHamster (3967 posts) - 1 year, 8 months ago

#5 my personal best!

It's a really easy quest, not much hints I can give other than just look at the side bar for concepts and stuff related to the set.

#12 Posted by Crono11 (1621 posts) - 1 year, 8 months ago

I can't figure out one of the concepts and it's driving me crazy.

Me too.

#143...damn like 10 minutes ago the count was only around 50.

#15 Posted by MooseyMcMan (8663 posts) - 1 year, 8 months ago

Am I the only person who tried Baird for the one where the description said they made life hell for Marcus?

#17 Posted by Winternet (7624 posts) - 1 year, 8 months ago

Finished it, somehow. Damn concepts. #130 that's good.

#18 Posted by Crono11 (1621 posts) - 1 year, 8 months ago

@beardfish: Of course the one I don't get is the one that's in the quest title.

Thank you so much for the help I really appreciate it.

296th to finish

#22 Posted by BisonHero (3413 posts) - 1 year, 8 months ago

383rd.

Frankly, I found "This Is My Lancer, This Is My Gun" to be SUPER arbitrary as far as what counts and what doesn't. Apparently we have differing opinions on what weapons are "particularly deadly".

409. Would have done it a lot sooner if I were here to do it earlier.

The quest was not too easy, not too hard – in my eyes the perfect definition of what quests are to be. Also, this quest set is definitely getting me intrigued by Gears 3 when I told myself I'd stop buying so many games for a while!

#24 Posted by DazzHardy (469 posts) - 1 year, 8 months ago

#440, as I only just got in from work. Also, fairly easy to finish, didn't actually need any help on it at all. Now, back to being bummed out that I have to wait for the Parcel dood to deliver my copy of Gears 3, after finiding out that my local GameStation are doing a midnight opening and I could of gone after I finished work >_>

how is chainsaw duelling no GOW "innovation"?

#26 Posted by Mr_Skeleton (4986 posts) - 1 year, 8 months ago

301! Just like something else related to the number 301...

I think you're looking for features that have made Gears somewhat influential this gen, Chainsaw duels are a unique feature to Gears of War (unique features isn't necessarily what that quest is about anyway) but they're not exactly something that have infiltrated a whole bunch of other games.

Finally a great quest. Thats how a lot of these game quests should be. Fun!

#659 and now level 16 :D

#33 Posted by President_Barackbar (3193 posts) - 1 year, 8 months ago

Just going to point out that This is My Lancer has some of the most arbitrary answers I've ever seen in a quest. The clue is too general for how specific the answers are.

Exactly. Grenades and sniper rifles? Apparently not "particularly deadly"!

1046. Damn you, European timezones! But it was extremely easy, to be honest. I did it in under 5 minutes.

#38 Posted by GoombaAssassin (12 posts) - 1 year, 8 months ago

1047! WOO! and almost 20.. :P

#39 Posted by SpawnMan (748 posts) - 1 year, 8 months ago

I'm stuck on the last "For the Horde" one - I've got 2 obvious ones, but I'm assuming the last one is probably from Gears 3, which I haven't played yet and don't want to look at yet in case it spoils the plot for me - can someone give me a clue? And hopefully so I don't have to ruin the story for me? : )

#40 Posted by SpawnMan (748 posts) - 1 year, 8 months ago

Nevermind, got it. That was one b*tch of a quest... ; )

#41 Posted by InsidiousTuna (339 posts) - 1 year, 8 months ago

This Is My Lancer, This Is My Gun is really ticking me off. Nothing worked for me other than the Hammer of Dawn. Any hints?

click through everything on the "things" page on the gears franchise page.

I still haven't found those "characters" though (never played gears before but none of the enemies I tried so far worked...weird)

(edit: went through the characters page ... they apparently are specific enemy characters and not general enemy types...)

I really don't like these quests when the answers are so random and basically force you to click aimlessly through concepts

#43 Posted by InsidiousTuna (339 posts) - 1 year, 8 months ago

@DeF: Thanks. Look for named characters that aren't human.

Not too bad considering I forgot all about it.

Yeah, they should have maybe said "complete overkill" instead of "particularly deadly"

#47 Posted by JJOR64 (18217 posts) - 1 year, 8 months ago

Can't figure out one of the concepts. This is starting to piss me off now.

#48 Posted by TheVeteran13 (1040 posts) - 1 year, 8 months ago

I find the American History X reference in the concept quest picture hilarious

Is "This Is My Lancer, This Is My Gun" a reference to Full metal jacket?

edit: also DING! 34 :D
