That cutscene in the answer that comes after you beat shadow makoto, why is it there? What is the meaning or point of it?
@fluxwavez: Ahh thanks! That isn't really shadow Makoto. It is like it said early in the battle clip - he is given form by the regrets of the group.Throughout the whole game, the characters sometimes get moments of insight, and share important information without any gravity. In this case the central subject is the possibility of thoughts and ideas creating and shapping matter.
To me that scene was just their idea of Makoto fainting away, as with the main events in The Answer, it was born from their regrets and desires. We define ideas with words, so it's just fitting that desintegration of an idea would be symbolized by words and letters scattering. And the group's final thought of Makoto was him smilling.
That's how I see it.
