Kessler Run - A GiantBomb EU/US SWTOR Guild

About the guild:

Kessler Run is a PvE guild mainly for GiantBomb.com members wanting to play with other duders. We want this to be a mix of EU/US players even though we will play on a US server. We like the idea of getting all the GiantBomb guys together and hopefully will have enough members to do EU and US raids. If this sounds appealing to you (and it should!) get a invite from any current members in game!

Getting an invite

To get a invite open up the social window (o) and hit the who tab at the bottom. Do a search for kessler and you will see all members of Kessler Run. Just send a tell to anyone there and ask for a invite!

Teamspeak Server:

We have a acquired a Teamspeak server we can chat it up while getting our grind on. Download Teamspeak HERE and then click THIS to join the server. If you want the server details they are as follows. There is no password.

FAQ:

• Q: Why Imperial and not Republic? A: Well you're never going to please everyone but after asking around I got the feeling more people wanted to play Imperial. GiantBomb also has a republic guild now! Good Luck Have Bothans
• Q: Why combine EU and US? A: I think it would be really cool to get everyone on the same server and playing together. Having played on US servers during the beta lag was not a issue.
• Q: Kessler Run is a dumb name! A: You're dumb!

errr.... but you know americah has other countries in it , like I dunno Canada , Mexico etc. are we to be left out (as you over emphazise the US/europe thing quite a lot) :/

That's simply where the servers are based. All are welcome.

Isn't there a bit of time difference between the continents? West coast US and central Europe would have some problems.

We're hoping to get enough people to join so there will always be people online. It may not happen but we should try.

I'm interested in joining something like this for TOR. My only concern is the server latency as I'm sure it differs a lot.

I will want to get into the PVP side so I don't want any kind of added latency. I'll be on the EU servers. Good luck, though.

I'm interested for sure, but I'm gonna wait until I get the game before I make a guild choice.

Well this will probably be my first MMO (somehow managed to dodge the WoW bullet) so would love to play with GB users.

Although I'm going for a Smuggler Gunslinger first, I guess I'll join up here as a Bounty Hunter Powertech concurrently. I'm in!

first off it should be Bessler Run and second what server is this guild gonna be on so i can not be on that server?

I dunno if I can get on board with PvP. Any chance of a PvE alternative?

Also I want to play Republic as I was Imperial for 5 years in SWG so there's that too I guess haha

I was so up for this... until I saw the PVP server. Sigh. I'll go back over to my rainbow-coloured carebear corner.

Matt, I really want to join your guild but I have absolutely no interest in Pvp. It also prevents you from playing both factions on the same server, which since I'm focused on the stories is a benefit.

Yeah. I don't like PVP servers, so I'm going to play on PVE. Would it be cool if I started a PVE guild? The other guilds that have been organized on this site are just a jumbled mess and it would be better to have some official ones.

If you were going to make a Republic guild with a similar themed name you could call it "Steve's Sabers" or maybe "Lemon's Lekku"

Well it seems like a lot of people are so hot on the idea of rolling on a PvP server. If it really is a big issue I will consider changing it to PvE

PvP is the best way to play MMOs!

Nice! Or should I say.. niche?! Nah, this is one of the best responses to anything ever.

This is the first MMO I really want to try for realz.. unfortunately I don´t have the time to really play it (or rather I am not willing to just play a single game).. But I would still like to see how this game is going once it´s out. You should do a video diary of sorts and document some of the adventures the Kessler Runners have to brave. Also, I hope this is a "don´t skip the story" guild, since I´m kinda sorta interested in that.

i don't get this though, are they just afraid of getting ganked? that happens very rarely in the game world.... (well at least in WoW it didn't happen often and i played on Tichondrius which was at one time the pvp capital in NA servers, though i remember Tarren Mill wars that lasted for days).. thus having a guild giantbomb duders can stick up for each other if there is an annoying Jedi causing trouble for someone...

That's my thought process too. I feel a lot of people think PvP servers are just full of ganking 24/7 and that's not the case. I find open world PvP keeps things interesting and I wish more people would try it.

In Guild Wars 2 you can join as many guilds as you like. BW is behind the times when it comes to MMO's it seems. Also, GW2 is box price only. You get the whole game just for buying it. Huge persistent open world with no monthly fees. I don't see this game keeping its sub fees for very long.
