Telltale Star Wars game?

I would love this .

If you'd asked me six months ago, I probably would've said that I'd rather it not happen. Walking Dead Season 2 and The Wolf Among Us weren't bad, but neither of them left me feeling like Telltale really was on top of things and headed in a positive direction overall. Tales from the Borderlands has really restored my faith in them though. I'd love to see them try some Star Wars expanded universe stuff.

The expanded universe has thankfully been put out of its misery, I don't see why Telltale would need to resurrect its shambling corpse.

And besides, EA has the exclusive Star Wars license until 2023, so this whole question is moot.

@chaser324: I wouldn't mind it, heck maybe if Gary Whitta is free maybe they can get him again to write a scenario that'll tie it with the new Rogue One movie.

Telltale LucasArts should have made a Star Wars game decades ago...

I'm sure they'd do a fine job, but at this stage I'd rather Telltale start doing their own thing.

Geez, I hadn't even considered that. They should though, totally.

They really have to fix their engine and branch out with their art style before I get on board with something like this.

I'd love to see this from a non-force user perspective. Perhaps a smuggler caught up in it all and trying to avoid it all, have the goal a personal mission complicated by all of the crazyness of the Jedi and war and there's plenty of ambiguity for a meaty story.

@brightside: I think any non Jedi ideas automatically defaulting to "bounty hunter" or "smuggler" is sadly limiting.

It could definitely work, you have far more room to work with with Star Wars than other series

Im kind of sick of telltale games tbh.

It kinda already exists, because it's KotOR. And it was great.

And then they had to fuck it up by making it into an MMO.

The failing with TellTale games is that they have to tackle something that is small and character-focused, but Star Wars is at its best when it is full of bombast and spectacle. If there were a Star Wars TellTale game, it would have to be relatively small in scope and be something of a side story (like Tales from the Borderlands or Game of Thrones), but if you want that there are already tons of comic books and cartoon series and novels about that.

We just need a C3PX spinoff, that's all.
