HYPE ACQUIRED.

Not sure how the field and battle graphics will hold up from a PSP JRPG on a PC monitor, but hey, anything to get this game wider notice is a good thing. I downloaded it sight-unseen on my Vita back when I was digging through the PSP back catalog. I'd like to go back in time and shake the hand of the me that made that decision, for he is a gentleman and a scholar.

It was first a PC game anyway in Japan so I do not see any problems here. Also given what they did with the YS series on PC I see no problems regarding this^^

I was interested in this game but never got it when I had a PSP. I might have to check it out now.

I should probably play the first one at some point. Hearing about the huge cliffhanger that may have never gotten resolved was kind of a turn-off, but I guess I don't have that excuse anymore.

Consider me stoked for this. I support all JRPG's on Steam.

I hope it fulfills the potential of the first one. I liked the leveling and combat, but there just was never enough to do in the various areas to really grab me. That said, I am pretty stoked about the Western release of any traditional RPG from Japan.

I heard a lot about this game but never actually took the time to play it. Can't wait for the PC version to come out!

I've been interested in this for a while now, but I didn't have a PSP at the time it was released in the US. Time to understand the hype, I guess.

For the psp too?!?!?

This just made my day. The first game is one of my favorites ever, and I had almost given up hope for SC.

SO HYPE.

AHhhhhhhhhh yeah

super pysched!

SC is coming out, dude this is crazy! And Carpe Fulgur has been secretly translating the game for almost two years?! Even Crazier!

Best. News. Ever.

I hope the save transfer stuff works! I doubt it will on vita, but one can hope.

I played like 5-6 hours of the original and it just didn't grab me. Good news for those who loved it though.

I have no idea what it is, but I'm looking forward to it!

YES. My body is ready.

I never played the first part because I heard it had a pretty big cliffhanger and it seemed like localization for the other two parts wasn't going to happen. I should get around to playing that now.

Never heard of this, but I'm all for finally seeing PC get some JRPG loving. Hope this continues and we start to see some bigger games coming.

It is the best JRPG of this generation if you can call the PSP that.

If anyone is giving this a look, it would seem that the game got slightly delayed again. They're saying late 2014 at best, perhaps early 2015, according to Polygon. I hope it works out. The first game is great. I thank XSEED for bringing such excellently localized Falcom projects to the PC... I really have missed playing JRPGs and many other Japanese-developed games since I began almost exclusively using the PC.

I love Xseed, but they can be terrible at releasing games when they say they will.

@slag: No complaint in that regard; glad they're still at it. I just really want to play it. It's unfortunate... Sounds like the project turned out to require a great deal more work than they expected.

So I read about why this game has gotten delayed today, unfortunately there's a very good reason why it was.

XSeed apparently hired Carpe Fulgar LLC (Recettear Item Shop) to do the translation/localization work

and well one of the duo that comprise Carpe Fulgar has had some severe personal challenges this past year and that sadly culminated with an attempt on his own life.

He explains what happened in the link below, Just a heads up what he writes is heartfelt and disturbing,

http://www.carpefulgur.com/drakblog/?p=53

XSeed has apparently reclaimed the project and will be finishing it without them. Carpe Fulgar themselves seems to be moving onto 2 other projects they've long had in the works.

Whatever happens with the game, I hope SpaceDrake takes care of himself.
