What's your favorite console Zelda game?

Skyward Sword? It's been a while since I've played Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, but I really liked the tone and atmosphere in Skyward Sword.

Um Ocarina is the only one I put any amount of time into so I picked that one. Although I do now finally have a wii so I can look over at Twilight Princess and think wow I bought you but want to play my playstation so much more. One day one day.

Majora's Mask is just great.

I just loved the kind of "dark-underworldly" feel of Twilight princess.

And it was kinda long ( just a little shorter than OoT ) imo

Wind Waker.

They're all utterly phenomenal, but Skyward Sword does it for me. Despite it's obvious modernity, it has this really excellent old school feel to the storytelling and the world is fantastic. The controls are perfect, they work seamlessly.

I had the strangest feeling of deja vu when I entered this thread... But, OoT is probably my favorite since it's the one I played the most. Also, considering I have never played wind waker or skyward sword or anything beyond part of Majora's Mask, I'll have to stick with OoT. A link to the past is a very close 2nd!

My choice was a toss-up between Skyward Sword and Ocarina of Time - and I picked Skyward Sword simply because I would be wiling to play it right this second while I think I have played Ocarina so much that I wouldn't want to play it right now.

But I think Wind Waker should be the right choice since I think it is the most polished Zelda-ass Zelda game.

Yeah I really enjoyed Skyward Sword as well. What do you want to see in the next Zelda game? I wouldn't mind one with a darker tone again like Twilight Princess, it seems like they like to mix it up when it comes to art styles every other game.

Twilight Princess does it for me. Oot is a close second but Twilight Princess is one of my favourite games in general as well.

Wind Waker, followed pretty closely by Skyward Sword.

I don't really like any of them but A Link to the Past is the best one.

One of the first two. Voted for II, which happens to be one of the least liked in the franchise. I recognize many of the later entries are much better games, but those first two are special to me. In the late-eighties I was younger, and video games of Nintendo's caliber were new to me, so I'm choosing based on which bring memories of having the most fun.

And while I'm here, I don't understand the appeal of Wind Waker. It's hard for me to describe but I feel like everything in the game just kinda drags on and on (dungeons, world map traveling, triforce hunting)

The original is my favorite. Had some exploration elements later games never really recaptured (especially the overworld) since they got more and more hand-holdy as time went by.

OoT was probably the best though.

It feels like we have this thread once a week. A Link to the Past is still my favorite, despite not having Genesis instead of an SNES when I was young. I didn't play A Link to the Past until a few years ago and it is still my top choice for Zelda games.

Link to the Past, although my true favorite would probably Link's Awakening, if this poll had included handheld Zelda games.

I love LTTP and probably play it more regularly than other Zeldas, but OoT is magic. The soundtrack alone is my favourite Zelda game.

I find ALTTP kind of boring honestly. There's nothing particularly exciting about the world, the story has little to no exposition or interesting characters, and the combat is pretty archaic and mindless.

The Ocarina of Time was the first Zelda game that I've played, and it is my favorite one.
