It's officially Xbox Reveal time, duders! Today's presentation is going to be prime real estate for all kinds of news, game announcements, debut trailers, and meme origins. In an attempt to keep the things organized (similar to E3 press conferences) we have instituted this official discussion thread for so that everybody has a go-to place to discuss the news before, during, and after the show.

It won't happen, but Ybox is by far my favourite name for it.

In regards to the keynote though, after several years of increasingly tedious E3 displays, I've resigned myself to the idea that it's going to be split evenly between dancing six-year-olds, some ESPN bullshit, and the Call of Duty part. I'd like to be proven wrong, but I'm not going into this one with a lot of optimism.

How about Xbox U? Ridin off the success of that Wii U !

Probably doing the same. Gametrailers usually have a quality stream, and I'm going to watch the GB commentated version afterwards.

I'm so sick of making predictions for this, but here is my last one. Steve Ballmer drives onstage in a McLaren P1 half way through the show, nearly killing someone. Announces Forza Motorsport 5.

Is there going to be a way to see the live stream on my mobile?

Yup, for the last couple of big events and E3s Gametrailers has been the most solid for me by far (I'm in Sydney, AUS).

Beyond that, the GB commentated archive was the 2nd best thing about the PS4 announcement, right behind Cerny.

I'll check out Jeff on GameTrailers and then switch over to the Giant Bomb stream for the rest of the show.

Hoping for confirmation of native Twitch compatibility.

Is the chat on the live stream working for anybody? The stream itself is working, but I don't think the chat is.

Nope, the entire thing broke at minute 1 for me. Refreshing gives me a "no show here" page.

Maybe the Bomb servers got stomped by all the people trying to connect at once?

So Xbox One wants to be your set top box, your "all-in-one" solution. Biggest problem with that is that there are a bunch of other devices that already do most of that stuff already...they are throwing their hat into an already crowded ring.

If the PS4 continues to concentrate on games first, they might have a good chance at being successful. I find it promising that these two companies, while offering a very similar product, are actually targeting slightly different audiences. It means both systems cold potentially be "successful."

Really pushing the whole TV and sports things. As someone who lost interest in actual actual television oh so long ago, I'm not sure I'm feeling it.

I think the title is a huge mistake.

They never said they would. This event was dedicated to hardware. They said they would be focusing on games at E3.

@herbiebug: I get WHY it's called the Xbox One, I just think it's a really really shitty name. I don't think we're alone in this.

So far, not much I want out of the Xbox One. The closest thing that appealed to me was Call of Duty, with which I've always had an on/off relationship.
