Theres a bunch of achievements showing up on steam that werent there before. Rumors about XCOM: Enemy Within were doing the rounds recently. Expansion time?
So steam is showing new XCOM:EU achievements.
@deegee: It might still be a sequel. XCOM: Enemy Within is just a name floating around. No one knows what it is; DLC, expansion or fully fledged sequel.

If they added new achievements to the old game it's most likely an expansion.
I really hope its a robust DLC. If not, I just want them to grind down on the systems in a sequel for a better experience. I love the game, don't get me wrong, but I remember the frustration involved with EU, and I'm too stubborn to not play on Iron Man.

I count 30 new achievements. Sounds pretty robust :)
I'm hoping it's more than just a mission pack. Playing through it again has reminded me that Enemy Unknown is a mechanically simple game, and it wouldn't hurt to throw in more nuance past choosing between shotguns and assault rifles for the assault class.
@gike987: Ah, you're right I messed that up. I confused it with a story about XCOM Enemy Within turning up on a Korean rating board.
An expansion that both pads the regular campaign and also extends it further would be amazing. I'd like more aliens, level types, environments, weapons, customization for the main campaign and then go crazy with whatever happens after the original game.
I'm actually glad it isn't going to be a full blown sequel. Pad out my original game so I can get the whole experience in one
I'd honestly be happy with a few more maps added to the pool, but I'm rooting for a Terror From the Deep expansion.
Wouldn't be surprised if the premise turned out to be something to do with the psychic powers of the first game. The uber ethereal said something about showing you how to control it. Enemy Within could mean those powers end up backfiring in some way...
