Forza Pronounciation

Why do I keep hearing people call it Fort-za? It seems like it should be pronounced Four-zuh. :)

I haven't heard it pronounced that way.  For-zah it is.  Perhaps just lazy language skills.

I call it Four-zuh as well. But I have been wondering the same thing. I'm gonna try and find the answer.

4-za

According to Wikipedia the Italian pronunciation is Fort-za. Everyone knows wikipedia can be unreliable. But between the wikipedia article and everyone else who says it that way, I'm gonna go with Fort-za.

Maybe it's like pizza?  We say pit-za not piz-za.

Fort-Za

But pizza and guzzi pronounce the t, but they both have 2 z(ed).  Forza has 1 z(ed).  They wouldn't be the same sound would they?  We need an Italian to tell us.  Somebody get Mario on the phone.

I've never heard it pronounced Four-zuh. It's always Fort-zuh

As I said before, I'm fairly confident it's fort-za. Someone could ask Vinny....

I know Ryan says fort-za though, so he leads I follow.   :P

Officially it's fort-za, but it really doesn't make a whole lot of difference.

@Asurastrike:  I asked this other dude who is Italian and he directed me to this video. At the beginning you can clearly hear fort-za. So there, mystery solved once and for all. Thanks to xdiesp for clearing it up.

I always called it 4-za, but the devs call it Fort-za.  So Fort-za it is.

four-zah

The Turn 10 guy at the Microsoft E3 conference pronounced it as Fort-za, so it must be right. That is the Italian pronunciation, btw. I'm Italian so I would know. =]

Fort-za it is.

I've always called it Four-za, but I guess I should start changing that. Fort-za!

I think I'll continue to say Four-zah anyway.

Forsa

Another conundrum!! Just like people saying Ninja GAY-DEN, instead of Guy-Den.
It is Fort-za, and the word is Italian. Translated to English, it means 'Strength'

As already mentioned, like Pizza (Italian food) is pronounced Peet-za, Forza is pronounced Fort-za.
I'm sure this confusion will be everlasting. Unlike Pizza Hut, Forza is not as tasty for the masses.
