This or Forza 3?

I have a sudden urge to play a Forza game. Forza 3 is half the price of Forza 4. Is the extra number worth 30 dollars? Online play is not a factor to me.

danke

If you just have an urge for Forza and it's not likely to be for dozens upon dozens of hours, 3 should suffice. The handling's slightly more simplistic in 3, as is its single player mode, but Forza 4 mainly improves on its online functionality with stuff like clubs, Rivals mode, larger races, and that sort of thing. Aside from that, you'd really only be missing out on better tire physics and a few tracks, like the Top Gear test track.

Plus, if you find out it's not your thing, it's a lot less money burned.

If you're a fan of the BMW M3-GTR, then Forza 3 is hands down the better game.

I prefer Forza 3's clean white menus and tasty music selection (even though Lance Hayes composed both of them).

Forza 4 is a better game with a better driving model. But I don't know if it is worth an extra $30 unless you want to get into the technicality of the game as a driving simulator. If you just want to drive fast cars then get Forza 3. If you want the game to be a bit more of a simulator get 4.

Forza 4 has the Top Gear test track; it wins by default.

Either way you go you're gonna get a great game. I'd say Forza 4 is better because of the handling and graphic improvements(you don't care about online so I won't mention those, oops I just did.) Forza 3 has one thing I really miss having in Forza 4, Endurance Races. Choosing 3 seems like the right choice for what you want if you want to save some cash.

Damn, I've still got Forza 2 on my shelf and haven't played it much.

Yeah, but that car is for jerks anyway.

Oh god, I hated Forza 3. I don't know what it was, the handling was way off. Forza 4 was a much better game.

Aw man, I frigging love Top Gear. Obviously that isn't worth 30 bucks though >_>

thanks :)

I would go for 3 if you can find it the ultimate edition for under £10/$15.

4 was on sale for 30 bucks just a couple days ago at the MS store. I just checked, the sales over now though.

Quick update. I found somebody selling Forza 3 for 10 bucks on Kijiji, in the town where I live. Baller right?

Except she's gone all weekend. Apparently Thursday and Friday are part of the weekend >_>

Anyway, it looks like Forza 3 is going to win.

4 for sure. Ferrari 458 and afformentioned top gear track is worth $30 to me.

I feel like that's not useful general consumer advice.

Wasn't the 458 in Forza 3? It might have been DLC though.

You can't go wrong either way. Forza 4 has more stuff but it costs more. Forza 3 has way nicer menus but not as many cars.

Edit: yes the 458 was DLC. I forgot that I bought a DLC pack for it.
