Platform-puzzle-shooter that has players switch platforms in and out of existence in their daily business on the sci-fi-police force.

Monster Hunter

A popular action RPG series in which you hunt monsters, ideally with other players. The series has been brought over to the US, but has not quite shown the absurd level of popularity it has in Japan.

Madou Monogatari

A series of simplistic RPGs from Compile. The series is better known for its puzzle spinoff, Puyo Puyo.

A series of downloadable games created by WayForward for the DSiWare and 3DSWare services.

Mercenaries

Mercenaries is an open world action game franchise based around a fictional PMC and its operations around the globe. The globe includes North Korea and Venezuela. It was also a spiritual successor to the "Strike" series.

Mortal Kombat

The Mortal Kombat series, and its many games, continues to deliver gruesome fighting action to its fans.

Mega Man

The Mega Man (known in Japan as Rockman) franchise covers a large number of action games from the core series and several offshoots, including Mega Man X, Mega Man Battle Network, and even one-offs like Mega Man Soccer or Mega Man Battle & Chase.

Metroid

The Metroid series follows the missions of Samus Aran--a bounty hunter for the Galactic Federation--as she explores the galaxy fighting off Space Pirates and a variety of other enemies.

Mario Kart

Mario, Nintendo's mascot, has been around for over 30 years and still stars in many games, saving Princess Peach from Bowser's numerous plots. Mario is the best selling video game franchise of all time, with an estimated 200 million Mario games sold world-wide.

MechWarrior

MechWarrior is a PC franchise based in the Battletech universe. These titles focus heavily on robot-simulation combat and political betrayal. MechWarrior puts you in the cockpit of gigantic robots that stand 4 stories tall.

Megami Tensei

The Megami Tensei (女神転生) franchise covers all Megami Tensei games, be it Persona, DemiKids, Digital Devil Saga, Devil Summoner, etc. All Megami Tensei games share common themes, chief among them being interaction with demons through fighting, diplomacy, control, cooperation, or all four. "Megami Tensei" roughly translates to "Goddess Reincarnation."

Musou

A series of large-scale beat 'em ups with the common thread being the ability to play from multiple sides, killing hundreds in a single battle, and various light RPG elements. Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors are the most prevalent of the series, with dozens of expansions and sequels between them.
