So, they chose Freedom Fighters for the latest installment of Load Our Last Save. Super excited for that.
And, man, Freedom Fighters was a great game. Who is with me?
Game » consists of 8 releases. Released Oct 01, 2003
I played and completed it on PS2 back in the day, remember really enjoying it but that's about all I remember - Giving me extra incentive to watch LOLS.

Freedom Fighters is great. Too bad Kane and Lynch killed any chances of it getting a sequel.
I saw Freedom Fighters on the upcoming list several hours ago, and up to now when I read what this man said I thought that they were gonna do Freedom Force.
Read the Kane and Lynch thing. OHHHHHH. FIGHTERS!
Same. i thought freedom force as well for some reason...@SoldierG654342 said:

I only played the first 5 minutes of the game at work once and never played it again. Regardless of this is going to be a good game or not it means VINNY time!
Yeah, this game was awesome. One of my favorites of the last generation. It's a shame we probably won't ever get a sequel.
The atmosphere was great! The story was a little cheesy at times, but I loved how they went to the trouble of actually making your character look a bit more grizzled as time went on. And then there was the whole thing where deciding to attack one objective would make other objectives easier.
Just seeing that they're doing a Load My Last Save of Freedom Fighters has made my day.

The blame lies with Hitman. If Hitman wasn't so popular then they would have been able to make another Freedom Fighters. Instead the devs had to crank out 3 more Hitman games. Freedom Fighters 2 was canceled before K&L was even conceived.

@DeF: I have no clue how I even check that. I just shoot things!
:D
sorry I forgot that it doesn't say that on the box on cube games. it could be mentioned in the manual or in-game under options. also, holding down B while booting sometimes enables 480p (progressive scan) mode even if it's not listed in the options.
could you check that when you have time? pretty please? :)

@DeF: Ill check when I get home, I'm at a friends now.
But does this link perhaps help?
thanks!
that link doesn't help, sadly. I've checked that and many other sites earlier today but none of them detail if that's just the NTSC version or also the PAL version. (usually mostly the NTSC versions supported progressive scan and/or widescreen and only a few of the PAL versions were blessed with those nice little graphical upgrades ...that's the reason I imported like half of my GCN library from the US via eBay. gotta put that expensive component cable I bought for my cube to good use^^)
After watching Load our last save, I had to dig up my old PC games and played trough Freedom Fighters start to finish. Didnt remember how short the game actually is and the controls are much better with keyboard and mouse (of course..) Still fun little game and I wish there was a chance for a proper sequel someday.

What operating system did you play it on? When I'm trying to play it on Windows 7 it runs way too fast; I've pretty much tried all suggested solutions I've found out there without success.
I prefer the PC version too (when it works :) but it doesn't have a multiplayer mode, I would love to try it.

Windows 7 laptop. I had no such problems when playing. Had it at 1080p resolution (same as my desktop) The image is quite over wide but didnt bother me much.

@SoldierG654342: Dude, I know this was two weeks ago, but what did you mean with
Too bad Kane and Lynch killed any chances of it getting a sequel. Thanks!
Kane and Lynch was a third-person squad-based shooter, much like Freedom Fighters. However, Kane and Lynch did rather poorly, and using the Catwoman fallacy they likely determined that people didn't want a third-person squad-based shooter, not that it wasn't a good game.
