I've never downloaded anything from the MS store... how do I get it onto my 360? Or does it just give you a redeem code that you then use on your 360?
With the rare exception of content that isn't yet on the marketplace, for example DLC that comes with first-run copies of a game but isn't quite finished yet, codes can be redeemed early. It's how game reviewers get their copies. To those who used this method, do you get to download/play it upon purchase or do you have to wait until tomorrow like everyone else?
No you cannot use your MS points to purchase the game through Microsoft store which is really crazy. I talked to a rep and they say no only credit/debit.
Microsoft creates this crazy ass currency and then will not accept them in their very own Microsoft Store, I am sorry that just seems insane to me.

Out of curiosity, has anyone tried Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet or Fruit Ninja Kinect to see if those codes are going out yet? They both have buttons to let you buy them, but I'm not willing to spend $15 finding out.
Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet works too. 577MB, downloading now.,Wait, really? Er, if that's true, mind telling us if it ends up playing?

I'm downloading it now. If no one else chimes in before it's done, I'll let you know.

Shame its not on steam, i enjoyed the QL.
It's coming, just later as usual. Aug 17th.
I'm tempted, but I would have been a little happier if I would have actually gotten The Maw for free when I purchased Bastion. I got screwed over there. From Dust's $15 price tag has me in limbo at the moment.

Yeah, heard very optimistic things about it. Hope it's turned out well. Would be great to hear first hand impressions though.
Just poopsocked From Dust after getting it a few hours early through the store trick. Kinda disappointed! A little more sandbox-y and a little less puzzle-y than I had hoped. Perhaps the challenges will be better for that. The fire tree stage also made me nearly delete the game. It's way too hard to make use of water plants.

I tried the demo. The camera controls are so bad. Really, really bad.
This is definitely the biggest problem I am having with the game so far. Other than that, I enjoy the gameplay, art style, and the overall game design, but man, that camera needs to be a bit more fluid.

Some options in between "really close and low to the ground" and "view from orbit" would be my request. My TV isn't especially large so the super zoomed view wasn't as useful as I'd like.

I'm having the same issue. I have found that I play mostly in the "from orbit" view so I don't feel so closed in and then switch to the closer view when I need to do some detailed material placement (like lava need a village or something).

Other than that the game's been great so far, being God is fun!
Being God is indeed quite fun! I hope this game does well so we can see a resurgence of the God game genre which has been almost entirely dead for quite some time now.

@Swoxx: Control fidelity giving you grief? I love god games, so close to picking this up.
Not me but apparently a lot of other people. You should get it. It's really fun. After I'm done with everything on a map I just dick around to get 100% vegetation, creating rivers, lakes and so forth. The way the elements react to each other are so smooth. Water tears away earth slowly and so forth!
