Games which use an acronym or initialism for a title. The acronym is sometimes related to the games theme (ie. F.E.A.R. is a horror game, H.A.W.X. is a flight combat game).
The last two words of many DS games abbreviate to "DS".
Games for the Nintendo 64 with the numbers 64 after the title to denote that it is, in fact, a 64-bit game for the Nintendo 64.
Many GBA game titles ended with "Advance" to indicate that they were for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance. This "rule" was followed by Nintendo as well as many third party GBA developers.
The strategy of demonstrating how awesome something is by putting the word "super" in its title. Incredibly popular among developers making games for the Super Nintendo, which itself counts as an example.
Games often use letters like X and Z in the title to make their game seem more edgy, blatantly misspelling the title of their game in the process.
