    Overview

The GameShark is a cheat device that was similar to the popular Game Genie device. The GameShark was originally released in 1995 for the Sega Saturn and Sony PlayStation platforms. The GameShark devices had features that were not present in similar cheat devices at the time such as built in flash memory which allowed users to save codes to the device rather than having to type them in by hand every time.
