Gearbox Software was founded in February of 1999 by five former workers at Rebel Boat Rocker. Gearbox's first games were expansions to the Half-Life series, they co-developed the first Halo, and then they went on to do some Brothers in Arms games. Their latest release was Borderlands (out in October of 2009), and are currently working on Aliens which is set to come out sometime in 2010. They are also working on three unannounced titles. Around 120 work at Gearbox.
