Do you think that you can select a female character in multiplayer?

Aw man, that would be awesome if you could. Somehow I doubt it though... Women can fight in wars too, darn it!

I don't know why but I find it weird when a girl in the orginal would play as a 250 pound armoured man(or monster)

Female mesh will be tiny compared to locust and human cogs aka less area to be hit.

It's the reason i only ever use carmine, baird and kim in GOW1 MP

Women may be in the game, but as those soldiers who wear the full body armor and thus...you wouldn't even know you're playing as a female :P

You might be able to play as Anya or Dom's wife.

you guys ever play Unreal? even the most recent one which uses Unreal engine 3(same as gears/gears2) has women you can choose in the multiplayer and they can get blown apart...been happening since 98.. don't thnk it would really be a big deal at all."

I doubt it, but if you think about it GOW 1 had Carmine and he was small compared to the rest of the characters. I think it could work.

Women have been getting eviscerated in Mortal Kombat games for years.  Having them in Gears "shouldn't" become much of a big deal.  But with extremist groups you never know what little thing they will pick to protest.

I think people would see this and say it's wrong even though they'd be the same ones boasting women's rights and crap. If you want women to be completely equal then stop complaining when they get cut in half or their head explodes like the rest of the men! I want them to put this in the game so when FOX News interviews them Cliff Bleszinski can completely own them to the point of speechlessness on the air! I would seriously pay to see that. Someone has to do it and avenge Geoff Keighley.

Lmao. I don't think I've heard anyone describe Gears of War as "erotic.""

While part of me likes the idea of having women characters for women to play with, the other part of me wouldn't feel right curb stomping a woman character.

I hope not.  It's about huge guys on steroids beating the blood out of eachother.  Unless one of the female characters in this game is as massive as these guys are, it would just seem out of place.
