Campaign story wise... extremely anti-climatic

I that it was a fun campaign but, the final boss was a big disappointment.

Too bad Gear Story store/Horde mode is the only part worth playing, Multiplayer is still broken to hell and garbage.

I didn't like what I played of the campaign either, I felt like they tried to force too many secondary gameplay elements in way too often.

I want to stick to cover and shoot stuff whilst I'm getting completely surrounded.  I don't want to drive across an Icy lake, dodge teeth, run away from a boulder or time a path through those acid things.  By the time I was having to dodge a big rock serpent on a little boat (which I kept getting stuck on and clipping outside the boat), I was completely done with GoW2.

I've always despised people calling it AAA title, it's just so overrated and I'm sure some people tend to literally mean it.. not a figure of speech. They usually call it that based on previous game and especially before the game is out and that's making called "making assumptions" or simply predicting the future.

Gears Of War 1 & 2 are two of the most boring, frustrating and generic games I've played.

I personally found the Gears 1 campaign very repetitive and actually had to take a break halfway through it so I could actually tolerate the grind.  As such, I always thought the first Gears of War was one of the most overrated games to come out.
Going into Gears 2, I was expecting more of the same.  However, I was extremely and pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the campaign.  Although I still feel the series is overrated, I enjoyed Gears of War 2 immensely, and much more than the original.

I'm not a huge Gears fan, and I honestly don't agree. I enjoyed it a lot more than the original campaign, it felt a lot better designed, more streamlined, more player friendly and overall a lot more solid.

While I love both games a ton, 2 was clearly made to be a more accessible "blockbuster". You can just take the final boss of each game as an allegory for their respective campaigns; RAAM was straight up old-school hardcore motherf'er, while in the sequel it was just another dynamic set-piece. The whole campaign was like a series of evil Disney theme park rides...with a turret. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just much different.

Such a one-sided thread.  The campaign surely wasn't that epic.  Surely.

I think Gears of War 2's campaign is significantly better than the first game's. I still don't enjoy the original game all that much, but man, I totally love the second one's campaign.

I thought the single player was really cool, but I'm not a Gears competitive multiplayer guy.  Horde was great though.

I thought it was good, but the multiplayer changed in ways I didn't care for.  My friend enjoyed playing the first gears with me, but when we tried to play the 2nd after a while he just didn't want to play anymore, saying it was too repetitive, and he didn't like how they put you through cave levels all over again.

I found Gears 2 campaign fine when I played it..nothing amazing, but good. This long after though, I dont care a single bit of ever playing Gears 2 again and can probably say I have no care for another gears game.
