Just thought I'd update anyone that pre-ordered the 'All Fronts'.

Epic got rid of the retail version of this pack; this means no more strategy guide and poster. On the plus side its no longer a limited offer.

Both Dark Corners and All Fronts should be available on Xbox-live market place on July 28.
Dark Corners - 1200 MS points
All Fronts - 1600 MS points

I wonder how many people this will affect and prevent them from getting the new map packs.

Good cause im gueesing that this would of only been a download code which would be pretty pointless.

My hope of somehow getting back into Gears 2, gone.

Oh well, Halo 3 has kept me happy for about 2 years now. I'll have fun with that.

Shame, was looking forward to have another poster to my room.

I'll just be downloading it then, like I was planning too.

This just makes it even easier to buy. Didn't really have any interest in the guide or poster.

Don't see how anyone would really care..if they were into Gears they had the other DLC anyway, so paying higher for all of it seemed dumb anyway.

I did not remember hearing anything about this at all, but I guess that's what happens when you report something non-E3 related during E3. I'm actually quite disappointed by this...doubt I'll be picking up the DLC now.

Ouch. This could have gotten more people into Gears 2, but maybe they just decided that repackaging the game was too costly for the amount of new adopters.

That's probably for the best, most of the people buying it on shelves would be wanting only the single player expansion, they'd be paying extra cash for content only usable online.

@TooWalrus: Yeah but like..You get a box. And a disk. So when XBL eventually gets vaporized by nuclear holocaust or whatever in 60 years, and I'm bored as hell in my bomb shelter and have nothing to do but go down nostalgia way and play some old XBOX 360 games, I don't have to worry about defunct LIVE connectivity.

@keyhunter:  I'm not sure there would have been a disc.  As someone else already said, codes to download the content contained in the box seemed more likely.

This is a shame though, I was looking forward to buying a physical copy of something Gearsy to stay me during the long winter until they eventually bring out the third game.

There was no disc in the set, just a card with a download code, like those GTA4: Lost and The Damned cards, you'd still need to download it.

Maybe sometime down the line Epic will do a similar package to the current GoW Game of The Year Edition that will have a 2nd disc with all of the DLC, but this wasn't that.
I don't know what your situation is, but if you don't have a credit card / debit card just use cash to buy an MS Points card and DL the stuff.

There WASN'T GOING TO BE A DISK ANYWAYS.

So really this is ONLY a positive thing.

Wow Dark Corners is only 1200 points, did not know that. I figured with so much content Microsoft would have jacked the price up to like $20. I can do $15 for 7 maps and a new campaign mission.

I'm pretty sure the downloadable version of the All Fronts pack comes with the Dark Corners and all the other map packs.  You might have known that if you had bothered to read the original post by the TC.

I'll get it when they drop the price. 1200 Microsoft Points is way to much to spend on a broken multiplayer experience.

I was just checking Amazon today to see about preordering this. Maybe I'm weird, but I would have liked to have the free poster for the same price.

Ahh well, it's much easier to get 1600 point cards then to hunt down this retail pack. I've still yet to see a single copy of TLAD in retail.

Why would you need to buy a physical copy of multiplayer maps which you play online at a shop when you can just download them anyway?

For some reason I'm absolutely terrible at multi-player, so this doesn't effect me.
