I like "Party like it's 1999" ...but I don't know if I'll be playing that many matches. They should've did Party like it's 2008 and give people something for doing it before 2008 ends or something.

Well, it's 1999 rounds, not matches. I've put in way more than 2000 rounds in Gears 1, so this is completely do-able.

 I love these achievements. No more annoying "100 headshots during ranked MP matches" or anything, which means a lot of people will play the game as it's meant, and not (w)horde (get it?) weapons. But I find it strange, Cliff B mentioned this whole new system of one "thing" (i.e. headshot, weapon kill, etc.) per round to prevent abuse - but the achievements don't represent that at all. Weird. Anyway, I'm very happy of this selection.

  Win 10 chainsaw duels (any mode).
• A Parting Gift – Points 20

• Pound of Flesh – Points 10
  Use a meatshield to save your life 10 times (any mode).
• Photojournalist – Points 10
  Submit a spectator photo.
• Kick 'Em When They're Down – Points 10
  Perform all 11 unique executions on a downed enemy.
• You forgot to post those achievements. Anyway I think the achievements are pretty cool atleast better than Gears 1 achievements.

Cliff: Yes, just like the first game, players can unlock the "Insane" difficulty level by completing the game. I can't wait for everyone to try out Horde mode on Insane, it is truly one of the most challenging feats you'll ever play. wow thats pretty pathetic. I'm looking forward to the game, and not that I like achievements to begin with, but I usually  like when a few are at least hard to get or creative...all this takes is playing multiplayer and beating SP mostly...its all so easy. Would be nice if there were some crazy things, but apparently not.

It is a walk in the park...100,000kills just takes time, it isn't hard to do..there is a huge difference between taking time and being hard to do. And Insane yes is the hardest difficulty, yet everyone I actually know never had a problem with it the least bit in Gears 1, so it will be the same here... I'm just saying if they came out with some creative things, that are off the wall or just really really hard to do thats one thing, but this is just something you accomplish on a normal playthrough basically and some multiplayer.

thats what I mean, I wouldn't do it in the first place, for one, I won't be playing gears that much w ith the flood of games coming out..will constantly be going back and fourth between so many, and secondly, since it is so easy and just a timesink, and I care not a single bit for achievements to begin with(unless creative or hard) I won't go for it either.

On the opposite side of the spectrum there are those that complain that they don't get enough achievements for just playing the game. I think there needs to be a balance. :)

Thank GOD they don't have the stupid "100 kills per weapon" achievements. Those where a pain the ass to get in Gears 1.

I really like that list. Sounds much more achievable and much more enjoyable to get than the last set.

I'm so glad there's no 100 kills ranked with X weapon. Those are annoying.

I wonder if those multiplayer achievements will be achievable through bot matches.  I can only assume they would be for those against online or without it.

I just realized that 'Kick 'Em When They're Down' achievement confirms that there is at least 5 executions they didn't show.

Epic is so hell-bent on putting a love story into Gears 2 with Dom and Maria, but the picture in the post above has made me realize that Gears has had a love story all along.
