My excitement for this game died along with the announcement that "Drake" would be involved with the project.

I loved Gears of War. 
Gears of War 2, well I could barely beat the campaign. I had no will to stop every 5 seconds to hide, pop up, then shoot dudes when they stop hiding. 
 It was awesome when it first came out, but the cover mechanic was done to death before Gears 2 even came out, and that's basically the whole gameplay. Bots were really nice addition though. 
And the first Gears had the better environments. The second had.... lots and lots of caves.

man, I'm having a hard time thinking of more ass-backwards juxtapositions than Sun Kil Moon playing over some grimy roided out dudes shooting roided out monsters in vibrant shades of gray.

Sept 20 is totally my brithday. If I get a 360 before then it'd be an awesome birthday present...
