Yesterday IGN dropped some pretty cool gameplay footage of the Gears 3 Multiplayer beta. For more information I suggest reading the Giant Bomb article here. Being a big Gears fan, I am appropriately stoked. Here's the video:

New characters 

New Weapons 

And all the other stuff 

Meh. The multiplayer stuff seems so bland at this point. Maybe it's just that I played way too much of it in the past. 
 
I'm pretty excited for the single player stuff though.

I haven't played the multiplayer at all in the past, I might give it a try this time. Can't wait, game looks rad.

As for the guy, he sounds like Robert Atkin Downes (guy who voiced Seargent Kim in the first two Gears), doing his irish accent. He's totally got a credit in this game, as well.

Something that they've done with the lighting this time around just makes the game look much nicer, all the light did in previous games was just kind of make the world look orange. This looks like there is actually a sun somewhere up there.

I more or less got Bulletstorm  to get into this beta and it doesn't look like it's going to disappoint.

I probably won't get into the beta but I'm definitely buying this when it comes out.  Haven't touched my xbox in like 5 months and I won't be renewing my subscription anytime soon because I'll just play multiplayer on my ps3, but I might renew it for a month or two when I get this since it's the only 360 game I'm getting this year.

I was never a fan of Gears multiplayer. The graphics look quite good though and Anya cursing was odd but funny.

Meh. The first Gears was awesome (one of my favourite games of all time) but Gears 2 was a huge let down since Epic couldn't even fix the fucking netcode for that game. This doesn't look much different to be honest and considering that I dumped my 360 because having to pay for Live is a fucking scam, I probably won't even care about this game in the slightest.

I haven't played much gears mp, mainly because by the time i got into it gears 1 was full of nothing but assholes and when gears 2 came out it was just broken for months. Hopefully this one'll actually be a little easier to get into cuz it looks awesome.

Looks pretty good. I definitely hope it's an improvement over Gears 2.

I don't care about multiplayer. I just want Cole Train to bring it, Baird to still be awesome, Clay Carmine to dish it out and Dom to die in tearful fashion so Marcus and Anya can live happily ever after. Also, if the game ends with the locust and COG teaming up to wreck the Lambent tentacle monsters, I will seriously travel to America and kill the entire Epic staff for ruining what's been the best franchise of this generation (Modern Warfare not included because I;m sure 3 will be terrible).

I played a lot of Gears 2 multiplayer and this looks exactly the same so I'm not too excited. However I will probably buy it anyway.

I'm stoked!!! I used to play Gears 1 and 2 quite a lot. I'm liking the changes. I hope that the dedicated servers will pull through and host advantage and massive lag will be a thing of the past. The network code for the previous games has always been shit.

Something about it looks a lot more sluggish to me than things were in Gears 2.
Regardless I'm sure I'll play a shitload.

They interview he did with IGN is also pretty good.

Looks to me like the new weapons and strategies will add a lot to already great multiplayer.      The assassinations look really satisfying so far.
 
I am also curious about Horde and if they are making an upgrade/changes there.   I plugged tons of hours into Horde. 

Excited about Gears of War!? Yes!... for the single player. Though I don't doubt that the multiplayer will be good.

People are going to rage about that bayonet rush, you just know it. I have such a love/hate relationship with the MP in Gears 2, when everything works, it's really quite awesome but when it doesn't it is a real mess. I still can't help but be excited for Gears 3, really looking forward to the beta on April 18th.

Now I don't have anyone to play this with (my cousin's Xbox broke, the other is at Uni) I don't really think I care anymore. Oh well, can save my money for BF3 and Skyrim and maybe grab a 3DS.

Played Gears 3 at PAX East today. Other than some weird controls (which I think were just set strange on my station) it felt pretty much like Gears 2 with an extra weapon or two... Take that as good or bad depending on how much you like Gears 2.

Yo that gameplay looks like some Gears, lol. idk....never really got into Gears, but can see the appeal. Will probably rent it for singleplayer.

That sniper-esque weapon looks extremely overpowered.

I will play through the single player a couple of times.

EDIT = Ok i will probably play the multi a little bit if i can get a good connection for once in my life. Too many laggy multiplayer sessions has kind of destroyed the image of gears multi for me. Also the flamethrower finisher is fucking awesome.
