So, if any of you have ever played Secret of Evermore (didn't think so), there was a boss in it that you had to hit in the heart, which became exposed after his ribcage opened.

Gears of War ripped this off, the only difference being that Secret of Evermore was 2D. I don't mean the basic boss mechanic was taken, the creature was ripped right from SoE, with its red coat taken away.

I think it'd be hilarious if you made a comment like "I regret getting Gears of War because the Corpser was lifted directly from Secret of Evermore."  The sheer outlandishness of the statement would send the forums into an uproar."

The first Gears Of War stole/borrowed (whatever you like) pretty much a quarter of it's mechanics from RE4. And personally, I like Gears better. That's why the world is so wonderful, we can improve on each others ideas and make something beautiful.
