Entertaining story, fun concept
You awake to find that you are dead. You can't remember anything leading up to this moment. The only two people around are an innocent looking young lady named Lynne and the hitman who killed you. A voice then explains to you what has happened and the ghost powers you now posses. You then are given the task of saving Lynne.
That is how Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective opens. You play as Sissel, who can't remember a thing about himself. He is given one night to discover who he is and why he was murdered. Along the way you are aided by characters such as the desk lamp named Ray and a Pomeranian named Missile. Being a ghost you have the ability to go back in time before a murder and to manipulate objects in the environment. The puzzle elements in the world are for the most part simple. Mainly, in order to solve the game's environmental puzzles, you have to manipulate an object in the world to trigger an event. The genuinely entertaining story through out the game is what really makes Ghost Trick enjoyable.
This is a game that really took me by surprise. I hadn't heard anything about it up until its release. Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective may not be the game for everybody, but in my opinion it is a great addition to any DS game collection.
