Since when do skeletons bleed?

So I was just watching the God of War III demo quicklook and at about the 5 minute mark brad's doing his darndest to beat the crap out of some skeletons, which is pretty awesome. One problem though, those skeletons were gushing gallons of blood all over the place. Now I'm no biology expert, so correct me if I'm wrong, but there's no blood in bones. So is Kratos just so badass that he can almost literally squeeze blood from a stone, or is it just video game craziness?

There actually is blood in bones, in the bone marrow. Red bone marrow contains hemocytoblasts which create platelets and red blood cells, as well basophils, eosinophils, neutrophils, monocytes and lymphocytes (white blood cells). Although since it only takes up 4% body weight, it's not likely as gory as presented as GoWIII. It'd also likely be dried up in skeletons.

I agree with OP. I was enjoying it till I saw the skeletons bleed and it really took me out of the games, so to speak. Completely unrealisitc. No thank you, Sony, I'll stick with my good games.
