Huh.
This game seems sort of cool, if bandwagony with these class based shooters that are cropping up.

E3 2011: Gotham City Imposters Trailer
U Got your batman in my team fortress!!!! No u got your team fortress in my batman!!!!................wait what?
Not really sure the Batman was necessary (well, sales-wise I'm sure it is) but at least there are some cool weapons/items. The hookshot looked fun.
Don't ask me why, but if this was somehow not an official product ans got slapped with a cease & desist I'd feel a lot more at ease with the whole thing. Mainly because this does not feel like it does, in any way, shape or form, feel like Batman.

Weird.
Not pointing you out in particular... but over and over whenever a new modern military shooter releases or a 3rd person cover-based shooter comes out everyone screams for innovation (!!!) and then when something kinda new and different comes out the message is the complete opposite.
Fickle, the internets is.
My comment about the aesthetic was not meant to be a complaint, I assure you. I get where you're coming from, but trust me, I really enjoy weird and different games. I was mainly referring to the characters and setting, I'm not sure how they were conceived, it all seems so bananas.@beard_of_zeus said:

Not sure how you took my one-word comment to mean that I immediately disliked the game. Seems crazy to try and judge the quality of an entire game on a two-minute trailer alone. You can't group together everyone who posts on the internet like that, ya know :P
hmmm the game itself seems fine but the batman name and theme definitely seems tacked on and while that may increase awareness and popularity of the game and thus make it do better sales wise, im not sure if that was the best move for the actual game in terms of presentation and actual game play.
@beard_of_zeus: Sorry... didn't mean to point anything at one person in particular. Just making a sweeping, ridiculous generalization that was ridiculous in its own right.
@CosmicQueso: Haha, no worries man. Trust me, I understand how easy it is to get a little cynical about the state of companies and consumers in the games industry.
