Gran Turismo 5 Photo Thread
Audi R8. I just bought whatever engines and stuff I could for it and took it for a spin on trial mountain. Fun as heeell
Yes, there's quite a few blur and color effects you can apply. You can walk around freely in photomode and pick any angle. I didn't think I'd see so much motion blur in the pic I took though.
I got goosebumps about 7 times reading through this thread and each time yelled at all my coworkers, "COME LOOK AT THIS!" I love you GT5 I can't wait until you show up in the mail.
If I didn't know any better and someone told me some of these pictures were taken in real life, I would believe them!
Hmm, pic looks a good bit brighter on this screen. And the tires look like cartoon tires.
But yeah, that's my American baby...for the moment.
707HP & 739ft-lbs. right now. One more engine upgrade, one more weight reduction, LSD, and chassis reinforcement and it'll be done. Got some matte gray paint I'm thinking about too.
Could any of you take some pictures of the damages? How realistic does they look and are we just talking small scratches or can you completely destroy the cars?
Also is it true that that the cars only gets damaged when you have gained a certain level, until then they can't really get damaged at all? That seems a bit stupid in my opinion.

"gametrailers has a vid of some of it. I still don't know how it works. Some say you level up and get more damage. In the GT vid it would have you believe that the race cars are the most destructible and the premium cars can only get dents and a few scratches.
The first pic I posted shows a tad bit of damage...I was only level 6 when I took it. I'm level 11 now and I haven't noticed any increase in damage thus far.
" I'm kind of embarrassed because I can't find photo mode because of the ridiculous menus. "Photo Travel in GT Mode. Or replay a race, pause the replay and then you shouldn't be able to miss the huge button labeled Photo Mode.

" Isn't it awesome that this thread is seriously pushing me towards buying a PS3? "
Hehe, I actually bought a PS3 yesterday. Not just because of GT5, but it definitely helped. Just be aware that while many of these photos are awesome, the game doesn't look nearly as good when you're racing. A lot of detail is added in photo mode.
