What follows is a brief post I put up on the Playstation forums.
I know the declaration in the thraed title is about three years late, but it's a point worth making again.
Very, very sloppy so far. I've had to quit four or five times already, one measly arcade race under my belt.
The main menu doesn't load properly when returning from another screen. The select cursor does not appear. Every time. Various delays, glitches and hangs too numerous to mention, and these are not all network issues. The game interface is simply not working.
This is rudimentary stuff. To offer a marquee title in this state is simply unacceptable.
This is disappointing, but that isn't my main problem with the game.
Goodness knows, Polyphony have had long enough to get this right. How did this get past Sony QA? It's absurd.
This sums up my PS3 experience so far. Technically fantastic, but with little or no consideration for the human beings at the other end who actually use the bloody thing.
Sony is sleeping on the job. They need to wake up.
