I like the menu for parts, 
ECU, Racing Air filter, Cat converter upgrade and a Sports exhaust to maximise exhaust airflow...with my pittance of cash

Mine was a used Honda Civc got it from $11,000 and used the rest on engine mods.

Nissan SILVIA spec-S AER (S15) '99 (Yellow, my least fav. colour, virtual cookie for someone not from the UK who knows why) around 18k as I remember no mods at all just used to blitz the early races and splashed the cash on a Jaguar XKR Performance '02, which I mainly brought because it is in British Racing Green.

well, the first one I was being taught in was an old Daihatsu (I think) 2 seater van.

Mixed information right now.    Gran Turismo Anywhere is either up and running now or it isn't.  I don't have the manual so I can't check the website that does it, but the GT site says later this month.    Once the site goes live you can do your full car customization, trading, buy, and B-Spec racing (but this one needs your PS3 on while you're away).    I can't test it out, as I don't have a copy.  x.x  Also, nice shot! "

Well for completing some of the license tests I received a Nissan mm-R Cup Car. Blows everything out of the water.
 
I feel rewarded for doing licenses first. It's great.

i don't know i'm installing the game right now. i think i'll go with the honda civic because people are saying it's good.

Got myself a Mazda since I'm no massive fan of FF drive that the Civic has. Pretty awesome so far though I'm trucking my way through the licences test for now. 
 
Edit: I just added the five pre-order cars plus the other five stealth model cars so uh...yeah, those cars.

oh god! Forza and GT and every freaking racing/sim game out there continues the trend of starting you off with civics and D class mazdas. Can't there be one game that starts you off as a rich 16 year old who gets to buy a mercedes?

...I still haven't bought a car.  Been too busy installing, cleaning up my place for tomorrow, and other stuff.   So I've been sticking to the arcade mode for the past hour.  x.x

SO GUYS how is the game?  I can't buy it yet because for some reason I bought some paintball kneepads for $60 instead of this game (well I actually do need the pads).  How similar is it to the prologue, because maybe I'll play that to pass the time.

i went with the honda civic. pretty fast car. i'm also working on getting licenses.

I got lucky in the used lot and found myself a tidy Mazda Miata in white. Slapped a weight reduction kit 1 and a twin-plate clutch and proceeded to dominate everything in sight. Bought a Civic Type R '08 shortly after. 
 
@MB: Quite frequently. I've seen a Countach, SLR and 3 Imprezas waltz through my used inventory.

I have this S15 again, but my first car this time is a used '02 Protege. Also the photo mode definitely allows the standard models to look a letter better.

I picked the 1998 Lexus IS 200. Put a few upgrades in it and I mopped the floor with those level 0's.

With my Korean wife looking over my shoulder, I opted to go with the 99 Huyndai Tiberon. The puke green color was kind of off putting, but I'm enjoying driving it. It has a nice weight to it and corners fairly well. The only thing that really sucks is that it isn't eligible for a lot of the races. I've since painted the car black and done some upgrading, focusing on horsepower.
