*makes vrooming sound with mouth*
Wondering if the new Grand Theft Auto IV episode The Lost and Damned is worth your $20? GameDaily has a nice little list up that breaks down a lot of the new content added in the expansion.

I'm not going to post their entire list, because then you wouldn't visit their site--and that wouldn't be very polite, would it? But here's some of what I've gleaned.

  • Six new weapons, including a pool cue. Naturally.
  • Four...sorry, three new four-wheeled vehicles, such as a van called the Burrito. I bet that's one smelly van.
  • A whopping 18 different motorcycles, divided up by gang. You can also call up your homies to bring you a bike if you're stranded somewhere.
  • Tons of other stuff, including new games, bike races, several dozen new songs, and three new DJs (including Funkmaster Flex himself).
  • UPDATE: Yes, one polygonal phallus.

Head over to the original story to get the full breakdown. We'll have our own Quick Look video going up in a few hours here, to give you a more, uh, in-your-face look at The Lost and Damned.

EDIT: Here's that Quick Look!

I still can't convince myself to get it.

This makes me incredibly angry that I got the PS3 version! >=(

20 bucks and 1.6 gigs of space? No thanks.

Classy, Brad! I hate it when Joystiq or Kotaku completely steal other people's content. Thank you.

pool stick is a pool cue right?

new vehicles okay.
motorcycles, damn thats a lot.
i still dont care though.
i totally respect that you totally dug the game. it just never really had any affect on me and i got bored playing it really fast.

I gota be honets i never finished GTA 4, much like alot of the press i burnt out. It might be a game i will get back to but at the moment i dont think ill be geting this since GTA is already such a big game, I think it would just piss me off if i got back into it but noticed its the same but i just spent more money. I think its intressting that microsoft are focusing on exlusive DLC, but if its a good option to acctual games im not sure about... the fallout 3 patch on the other hand is a must buy for me, but im hopeing for a one in all package.

#8 Posted by PowerSerj (987 posts) -

Damn exclusivity. I would pick this up so fast if there was a concurrent PS3 release.

#9 Posted by LoneStranger (28 posts) -

You forgot to bullet-point "One Penis."

#10 Posted by TheHBK (5486 posts) -

Haha, I was gonna write
"One new hairy Cock."

#11 Posted by HandsomeDead (11863 posts) -

That sounds like probably the greatest piece of DLC to date.

#12 Posted by AndrewB (7624 posts) -

Eff the quick look. If the thing would download faster, I'd be playing it right now. Too bad I didn't think to start the thing this morning when I got up, but then my background-downloading 360 might have heated up and caused a fire anyway.

#13 Posted by GamerGeek360 (1959 posts) -

I thought it was definitely worth my $20. I love it.

#14 Posted by oobs (339 posts) -

well i purchased it..and then i went over my download limit..so the connection has slowed to a crawl...have to wait 4 days for it to be back to normal speed...

#15 Posted by Civraz (392 posts) -

I'm pondering whether to get this or not. I'll wait for the quick look.

#16 Posted by InFamous91 (931 posts) -

I think its worth $20

#17 Posted by IceColdGamer (605 posts) -

Looks worth it to me.

#18 Posted by SilverArrows (96 posts) -

The dialogue is fucking awesome. I haven't played too much yet, but what i've played, its been absolutely amazing. Rockstar you rule.

#19 Posted by zityz (2360 posts) -

I'm going to pick it up, once I've had my fill on Street Fighter 4 of course :)

#20 Posted by borgmaster (513 posts) -

downloading it now, and have been for the last 5 hours...1.6 gig's is beastly.

#21 Posted by DavidSnakes (675 posts) -

It's absolutely awesome.  I love Rockstar now more than ever.

#22 Posted by Media_Master (3283 posts) -

This sucks, no PS3 version anounced yet

#23 Posted by bwooduhs (1617 posts) -

Looking forward to this for a while non.

#24 Posted by Seanakin66 (158 posts) -

So I was looking at the list of new songs for TLAD and GODDAMN...I hereby wish to congratulate Liberty Rock Radio for having grown a pair finally!  It's a far cry from all that artsy-fartsy shit whose only difference from Radio Broker was that it was familiar.  The lone AC/DC selection seems less than inspired, though admittedly, I'd hate to be the one charged with selecting just one cut off of Highway to Hell.

I'd also like to thank Rockstar for their refusal to dumb down their product so that just anyone might enjoy it. Seriously. There's myriad other games out there for all those sunshine fans.

#25 Posted by PapaLazarou (711 posts) -

I would get it if they sold it on Steam for the PC.

#26 Posted by RHCPfan24 (8609 posts) -

Already got it and am loving it!

#27 Posted by spankmastaflex (28 posts) -

you can turn that filter off.  i did right a way. couldnt stand it.  loving the game though

#28 Posted by TheHBK (5486 posts) -

If they had a disc out like they do for the ACDC track packs where you can have a disc, and then install it on the HDD, I would definitely prefer that.

#29 Posted by JoblessTerence (349 posts) -

It's definitely worth $20.

#30 Posted by JoelTGM (5596 posts) -

meh, just driving around with friends was more fun than the story mode.  I'm not interested in some biker gang and the quest for his bike.

#31 Posted by Psynapse (1064 posts) -

It looks pretty good, but i'll pass on this...

#32 Posted by dvorak (1496 posts) -

Not only is the story 10 times better than Niko's, it's essentially a Sons of Anarchy game.

#33 Posted by Kohe321 (3529 posts) -

Awesome quick look. I simply can't wait for this DLC.

#34 Posted by Kraznor (1578 posts) -

Awesome, dying the same way twice. It is pretty awesome, but I have died numerous times and some of the physics regarding the bikes are downright bizarre. Still, well worth it.

#35 Posted by bandro (65 posts) -

I think it's brilliant and, again, I'm wondering what I'm gonna do with my time when this DLC is over.

The fact that quite a lot of people don't seem to be into GTA IV really puzzles me.

Thank you for not stealing the article.  I always knew GiantBomb.com was going to be the classy man's site.

I wasn't a big fan of the arm wrestling, I felt like I was going to break my right analog stick with how fast I was going. Couldn't they put it on a button or something?

#39 Posted by TMThomsen (2074 posts) -

I recommend this DLC for every person you liked GTA IV, because well.. this is more of the same. The quality is on pair - if not exceeding the original game, and the storyline is really interesting. I specially like how it twists into Niko's storyline.

#40 Posted by HatKing (5958 posts) -

Despite me getting as frustrated as ever during the bike races I'm actually enjoying everything quite a bit.  I'd say mechanically the game is better than GTAIV, but emotionally the story doesn't deliver quite as hard...although I don't think anybody could expect that.  A couple complaints, in multiplayer there is something goofy going on with the helicopters in that they are hardly ever where they should spawn, not all of the motorcycles seem to be available in multiplayer certainly not very readily, and I really, really, really(going to stop saying really there but I mean it like a hundred more times) wish there was a retry feature on the bike races that you could use during the race.

"This makes me incredibly angry that I got the PS3 version! >=( "

If you own both consoles and you got it for Ps3 when it came out, you can't blame Rockstar for you being an idiot. It was announced long before release of the game that the Microsoft deal had been made. (not to mention that you being a multi console owner the 360 version would have also looked better in native 720p)

I hate it when other people (not you) say shit like "OMG I GUESS MONEY WINS IN THE END DAMN U M$!!!!" "ILL JUST WAIT UNTIL THE TIMED EXCLUSIVE ENDS".

1.) Microsoft DID NOT just pay $50 million for exclusivity after Rockstar had already been working on the DLC and planned release for both platforms. The money that Microsoft gave Rockstar was an investment that funded the CREATION of the DLC episodes. Rockstar may not have even made DLC of this caliber had they not recieved capital for it from Microsoft to help pay for production costs.

2.) Therefore Microsoft is the digital "publisher" of the content and asking why none of them will ever come out on Ps3 is like asking why Sony didn't put Resistance 2 on 360. This isn't a timed exclusive for Lost and Damned, the next episode won't be released for both platforms, and the next episode won't be timed exclusive either.

I'm enjoying it, sorry for the haters that still feel like they need to click on this story and tell the world they still haven't finished GTA4.  Guess what haters??  We don't care!!  The story seems cool, I'm digging the whole tuff biker gang thing, and I like the biker gang game play of  following you as you ride to locations - location in the missions. Very cool, worth $20...  Just think if this was the PS2 days, it would have probably been a repackaged GTA4 just with this story instead of Nico and a $40 price tag.

Just finished it.....and it was kick ass!!! Johnny K. is the man!

I don't think the Burrito van is new, I found it on the > I'll Take Her < mission today. I got into an old plumbing van that was named Burrito.

#48 Posted by RipTheVeins (1546 posts) -

uhh...what happened to the Quick Look? it doesn't load here, and it doesn't show up in the videos section even though I saw it there yesterday.
