Nice to see "Non Gaming" media cast an envious eye over our favourite past time.

    Article.

I feel like GTA4 is an easy game for the mainstream to like (once they get passed the violence and hookers and whatnot).  When compared to others in its industry, GTA4 has a very high-quality story, and a whole slew of satirical set-pieces.  It's one of the closest things to art in video games.

    Just my opinion though.

Great article, doesn't get bogged down into the senseless "ARE GAMES ART?!?" debate

I'm not going to read this. Time Magazine is also the publication that listed Bill Clinton as more to blame for the economic meltdown than.........George W. Bush.

Grand Theft Auto IV: Libery City.

I love how non-gaming media always messes up the titles and technicalities such as that. Type that in the googles.

As for the article, I like that they simply list the story while explaining how effective it came across. No silly talks about violence and how it corrupts the children who shouldn't be playing it. Nice.

Wow, nice to see someone treat video games with respect and are able to look at them seriously. Hats off to Time.

It's a generally accepted fact that the current President is going to be blamed for the results of the policies implemented by his predecessor.

As for the article we need more talk like this. Too often the media simply wants to talk about violence and sex to create controversy because it sells. Just look at how Fox News talked up a minute long "sex" scene in Mass Effect like it was a full on porno.
