    Lacking toward the end.

In the beginning the game was fantastic. The escort missions were as meaningless as ever, but with the new driving mechanics, were a must. Keeping on with the GTA genre there was a great opening scene followed by a quick drive to introduce your place of residence. The whole opening story was great, working off your cousins debt to a scumbag with powerful friends, moving up in life and meeting new people. The new firefight mechanics were great and helpful but got a little frustrating when you continuously popped in and out of cover when you didnt want to. Where the game started to lack for me was the lack of use of funds. Making all of this money, to buy what... Some hamburgers for a gal pal, and some ammo for guns. There needed to be some depth after the main story. Not just a girlfriend, but extra missons for some cash. This comes after the major lull in story during the end of the game. Popping in and out of random mob families being quickly introduced and quickly exiting the game with no purpose. Overall the majority of the game was a great deal of fun, but after the story is complete theres not much else to is.

The Lost and Damned is a download available on the Xbox Live Marketplace, PSN, and for download for PC for $20, respectively.  The expansion, while still being an expansion, is an entirely new game with new characters, story, weapons, vehicles, activities, and multiplayer modes.  While there are no new areas to explore, TLAD features the Rockstar brand of storytelling that everyone has come to know and love. Johnny Klebitz, VP of The Lost The Lost and Damned stars Johnny Klebitz, the Vice-Presid...
