The resume from the lead vehicle artist in GTA V apparently claims that the game is coming in October 2012. It corresponds with the same info coming from an animator's resume.

Found on GameSpot.Personally if this is true, I think it's FUCKING awesome since I loved GTA 4 and wasn't expecting this game to come out until next year. Of course there is still a likely possibility of it being delayed with the info only being found out recently. What do you guys/gals feel 'boot dis?

If it comes out this year I will be really, really surprised. Grand Theft Auto IV was scheduled for an October 19th release and was delayed. I remember it being October 19th since that's my birthday, and my plans for my birthday basically were "Get GTA; forget outside world". Unfortunately that didn't happen, and it was released in April of the following year. I've never remembered a major Rockstar title that released in the later half of the year. Midnight Club: LA and the other Q3/Q4 releases were never destined to be Rockstar's famous titles. Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto IV, even L.A. Noire all released in the earlier part of the year. Not only that but you can notice some areas of the city which were not modelled fully during the first trailer released for the game. If it's October I will be overjoyed.

I am expecting it to show up at the Nintendo press conference tomorrow as a sign that Nintendo is serious about appealing to the "core" game market with their Wii U. I don't know if it will happen, but that's what I've been envisioning for GTAV's E3'12 debut.

Haha, when has Rockstar ever cared about E3? Or their "core gamers" for that matter for whatever the fuck that means. We won't see anything on GTA V this E3, if they want to say something they'll just say it and release some info.

@Doctorchimp: Well, none of what I said concerns what Rockstar thinks, but what Nintendo wants to impart. Every E3, Nintendo talks about getting back the "core" gamer and with the launch of a new console, one that's able to run the same games that the PS3 and 360 can, I think they're going to try and show that Nintendo is "hardcore" and can play the gamut of Mario to GTAV. They're going to try and have a showstopper and few other franchises will have the same impact as Rockstar's cornerstone.

still just doesn't make sense to me... I'm sure it'll be may, rockstar sure loves may.

I'm excited if this is true but also bummed out because I had a $5 bet going with a friend that this was gonna come out next year. If this is true, then I'm out $5.

As much as I want to play it right now, I reckon it'll be next year.

As much as I would love to have it this year, knowing Rockstars history, it's highly unlikely it'll release this year.

GTA would kill anything released at that time. Even Black Ops 2.

Not like any fewer good games are coming out in early 2013. Winter 2012/2013 is the new Fall 2012.
