The guys has told us there will be info coming soon, on a probably the biggest game to come out relatively soon, what more do you expect us to do? Stand up, give a rounding applause? I can be exaggerated too. Anyway, if there is info out in the next couple of weeks, I will think back to this thread and have the knowledge that this might have happened!

I have a credible source that the PS4 is going to be announced in a few weeks.....  And I live in Japan.

Yeah they told us something was "coming soon" a few weeks ago when they released those 10 or so screenshots. Rockstar tends to release information and games either right before or right after their fiscal quarters. GTA4 was originally going to come out late October, and DLCs have come out around then as well, so that's a safe bet they'll release some sort of info around then. My expectations would be a release date. Hopefully Holiday 2012, but will probably end up being early 2013 (no later than May).

I can't believe people are getting butthurt because the community didn't drop to its knees and start praising someone who posted the most generic "news" about GTAV. Especially without a source for any of it, other than the fact he lives in Edinburg, Oh, you say they're going to announce something soon? Well no shit, of course they are. Nobody needs insider info to know that. And you say its out next spring, like every other Rockstar game this gen? Shocking. Nobody else would have guessed.

I would like a release date and I'm hoping it's next year. Video games kill my wallet around the holiday season.

Personally I've never had a problem with this community but people are cynical when it comes to these sorts of threads because 99.9% they are full of BS.

I don't think this counts as a credible source regarding a firm release date, but I guess GTA5 is the December Game Informer cover. I imagine Rockstar has some multi-pronged marketing plan to tease the shit out of this game before the release. I wouldn't be surprised if they showed some gameplay around Christmas to boost preorders during the holidays.

At this point after 4 pages of folk mainly damning me for being so blunt and non-specific about the info I gave them (Which has since been proven to be correct) and at the time was all the information. I had I would like to thank those few others who took the post for what it was. Telling you that GTA was ready to be shown to the media and we would hear more news such as a release date or trailer soon.

I then mentioned that I understood GTA to be released in Spring 2013. This hasn't been confirmed yet but I assume it will be confirmed around about November/December time in line with what Kotaku has said.

Some said that I was merely stating the obvious. "Of course Rockstar are going to tell the press more about their blockbuster game." "Of course it's coming out in Early 2013, all other Rockstar games do."

Those point may be true. But from browsing the board I can't find anybody who came outright and said THEY WILL do any of these things. Can you guys?

Strange, I don't feel like I have lost anything, I just feel like I have stumbled into a pointless thread based on hearsay and speculation that anyone could have had a guess at but you just happened to get lucky with. Nobody cares that you are not going to bother posting any more info so just request this thread gets locked and do yourself a favour.

The OP is like Will Ferrell's character in movie Old School. He tries to get everybody hyped up to go streaking but nobody does. The community is not being hurtful, they don't like their time being wasted. No thoughts on what has been shown so far or speculation on what might be based on past games. No discussion on what the story could be or if there going to be any returning characters. The OP is fooling themselves that they know more than anybody else yet says nothing. This thread post intention is to draw attention that it doesn't deserve.

September 17th, 2013(The release date for GTA5(real)) is not in spring, and is definitely not early 2013.

Expecting more info for the online stuff is a pretty easy guess duder. They said at the end of the last video that they would be letting us know more about it soon.
