Rockstar returns to the fictional state of San Andreas with a crew of three criminal protagonists who work together to pull off a series of high-profile heists.
As others have pointed out, the guy in the hydra definitely seems to be the balcony guy from the trailer, also known as Grand Theft Auto V Protagonist.
As much as I believe Grand Theft Auto is some of the highest quality games around, I'm not really at all excited for this game. That's not to say I think it's going to be anything but great, I just, I don't know. I guess in time I may be more excited for it. It may have to do with the fact that I've played many hours of the GTA games, and tried to get through their stories, but for some reason never could. I have them all. I guess I should try again some time.
If there are more details to come later this week and the game is out this year then the release date has to be announced this week. If it's not announced this week then it's not getting released this year.

I'm going to guess it is released next year on new consoles as well as old.
I think I would be disappointed to see it come out this fall. The current generation has gone on too long.
It seems they are combining the fantastic urban enviroments from GTA IV and the amazing landscapes from RDR, hope for more of the later some of my favourite areas in San Andreas were the little redneck towns in the country side.

im on the opposite camp, i dont think theyve been very strong this gen. all of their games have been lacking in the fun sector, just mostly filled with repetitious missions in IV, RDR & Noire. hoping V is more "colorfull"
GTA IV and RDR have some of the most Laugh out Loud moments I've had in games and mostly it is all because of the RAGE physics engine, combine that with the free roam with a few mates and it is some of the funniest moments in games, when I got the Bull mount in RDR I would just do nothing but charge randoms over, fucking priceless.
He's referencing how back in 2002, people used to absolutely lose their shit over Grand Theft Auto screenshots, and waited months on pins and needles for just a screenshot. He's probably saying that we should wait until we see some footage before freaking the fuck out.
I'm just saying that marketing your game with screenshots is the very old, very boring way to do it.
I might agree with you if Rockstar didn't consistently prove that they are masters of videogame marketing. If Rockstar is releasing screenshots then that probably means it's the right way to do it.

Fair enough, but knowing this and taking advantage of it is smart in and of itself. Rockstar has always known how to keep a trickle going for months on end so they have plenty of content and marketing budget to overwhelm people in the 6-8 weeks before release - and it seems to work every time :)

Agreed, they do it very well. But then again what else would they do? They know they have something people are desperate for so they tease and tease their fanbase untill they are desperate to shoot great giant wads of dirty cash all over Rockstar's grinning face....

Anywhoo really glad to see the return of bikes, and the more environmental variety the better! I wanna scale me some mountains and uncover creepy cabins in the middle of nowhere like during San Andreas. I still remember how I spent literally hours scouring the forests for the supposed chainsaw killer. I remember I was always on edge everytime I'd enter a cabin, especially if it was night time; standing there with my dual shotguns at the ready, just waiting to hear a chainsaw begin to rev...

Where are the trailers, the gameplay demos?
Reintroducing bicycles, base jumping and jets in GTA with screenshots is just super underwhelming.
Watch the remember me and watch dogs demos if you want to see exiting content for upcoming games
The reality is that Rockstar has no need for any of the stuff that you described. Why waste time at trade shows, competing with other games for headlines? Or use up dev time on some vertical slice demo?
If you look at other forums and websites, people are pretty much the opposite of underwhelmed. The comments section on Rockstar's newswire reads like a liveblog. 10-15 comments come in every 30 seconds. On Monday, #GTAV was trending globally on Twitter. The GTA series is an event in and of itself and doesn't have to play by the rules like other games when it comes to pre-release media.
No reason to show too much of your hand when you don't have to.
It all looks amazing. Seems like a return to the varied and wide open terrain of San Andreas. Awesome.
Also, I feel like they're subtly confirmed multiple protagonists. Looks like the white guy from the first trailer in that picture of the jet at night, versus a black guy in these latest screens. Could be multiplayer shots I suppose, but I dunno.
