Y'know, those small banks you may have come across and even attempted to rob? I say attempted because if you've had the same luck I had, there's nothing to be gained from it besides potentially alerting the police.

I had assumed they were a scene for a mission, but I'm getting pretty close to the end stretch now--Michael's just had to save his family from Devin's PMC guys invading his house, and I'm now moving on The Big Score--and to my recollection there's been nothing going on with them as of yet. Maybe they're to be mini bank heists for GTA Online?

Or maybe they can be robbed and I'm not doing it right... Though the clerk's never facing you in any case, and even when you are able to try and hold him up, he'll just cower onto the floor and you still can't lead him to the safe or anything.

Yeah, I'm assuming that they'll probably get hit in GTA Online.

From what I read in GI's coverage of GTA Online, most of the buildings that serve no purpose in the regular game get used in the Multiplayer component. Y'know, stores and shit so you can do heists.

Yeah I tried to see if I could get the store clerk to open it by waiting a little longer. You know, see if it triggered something. I also tried a sticky bomb, nothing.

    GTA Online it probably is.

Well, you can still rob 24/7 shops in GTA V proper. But i guess they wanted to hold a few things back, so you're not just doing everything you done in the main game again, only with friends. Which is a pretty good strategy, because now I'm excited to see what else they may have put in there that isn't in the main game. I know there was that thread earlier, stating how there'll more than likely be gambling and drug deals at least.

What I really hope is there'll be more clothing/hair styles. I mean, they can't not expand upon that stuff, right? I'm already envisioning myself creating a badass Lost Biker chick! God, I hope they'll let you buy a Lost jacket, if not earn it by working for them or something.

@yummylee: I assume at the very least you'll probably be able to mix/match the appearance options for the three single player characters, but it also sounds like they will be adding quite a few more options. One of the free updates that Rockstar has said will be coming in the weeks after the initial GTA Online launch:

The Beach Bum Pack: Featuring 4 new amazing beach fun vehicles, over 300 new items of incredible down tempo leisure wear and 2 new but not remotely relaxing weapons.

Oh wow, new weapons too? Though I suppose there is a lot of empty rack space in the Ammu-Nation stores so, I shouldn't be surprised. I would have to imagine the weapons at least will carry over into both GTA V and Online.

@yummylee: The one bank I went into had the same layout as the bank from the Paleto Bay Bank Heist; the one that goes to shit and becomes a walking tanks vs cannon fodder mission. I assumed they only did one bank layout and recycled it.

I really really hope they do something with the prison and the military base in GTA Online, I was very surprise when none of them really came in to play in the main game.

Technically you can get up to no good at the military base depending on how you handled the Merryweather Heist. But yeah, I figured the prison would have played a bigger role.

I have to assume they're smaller heists you can do in the Online part of the game.
