That's what I was thinking and that would be badass. After seeing the LA rumors, I got bummed out. Hopefully Kotaku and their source are bullshitting.

Am I the only one who doesn't really want it to be the same ole' San Andreas gangsta setting, or even California in general for that matter? Washington D.C. sounds cool though.

Ehh, I think it would be more interesting in Ireland, or at least an Irish character, the american scene seems played out to be honest.

GTA games got me into gaming and although IV wasn't as 'fun' as the previous ones, what it did do was superb, so I will be counting down the days till this one. I just couldn't get into IV's expansions because by the time they came out I was bored of the city and the graphics had started looking outdated. I'm guessing they'll probably use most of the tech from LA Noire for this?

So i'm hoping for a larger area for starters and yeh i'd put money on it being somewhere we've already seen in the GTA universe. I'd love to see London but I doubt that'll happen. Whatever they do, it'll be great and i'll buy it.

I think the whole green V and styled five has more to with money than anything else... The five logo just looks like something you'd see on an American note, although this really doesn't say much if the game is based around money... So anyway, I'm vaguely agreeing with what ELpork is saying/implying.

That logo sure doesn't look very good.

They will never do this, but I would love if they revisited GTA2's near-future setting. Or go all out and set it in some cyberpunk city. Or even go overseas. Enough with the direct-parody US cities I say.

if rockstar takes small step back with the gta series (*cough*sanandres*cough*) then they could easily have a BIG wier on there hands, even more so than their most recent games combined.

To me the green looks like the green of the Grove Street families from San Andreas. I would prefer to see Washington but feel that LA seems more likely -- so long as they give us something new akin to how Liberty City changed I'm sure it will be great either way
