There is no doubt this game is superb. With a great story, characters, graphics, weapons, cars, things to do etc, it's a marvel. But it does has one major issue, an issue which has driven me mad. The police.

The po-leese are a major part of the game. You will encounter them during missions, find resistance when driving off mission and they even appear in multiplayer. The problem is that the police, are just too good. People praised GTA 5 for making the police not know where you are instantly, which was something which irritated me in GTA 4. But that's bullshit for a start. They always know where you are and even if there is this illusion they are looking for you, they will come for you. As mentioned by people countless times, you could kill someone on a mountain top, with a silenced pistol and you will still get a star. To make matters worse, these policemen are super marksmen. I'm not talking pro, I'm talking godlike.

Picture the scene, I'm holding up in a shop I've robbed, police outside. I start shooting at them, my stars rise. There is no way out, they are such a good shot, I will be dead before I reach the pavement. So I hold up and return fire. Or so I think. What actually happens is the police will come in the shop in single file and let me mow them down. It got to the point where officers were walking over 20+ still warm corpses of their fallen allies, right into my line of fire. But what they lack in common sense they more than make up for in shooting skill. If you pop out of cover for half a second to take a shot, I guarantee you they will get at least one hit on you. Sometimes it's a headshot, so you're dead.

Even on the road they act without care for themselves or their colleagues. They will try to ram you off the road, which I'm sure doesn't happen if you have engaged in a fist fight with a pedestrian. Once the police heli gets involved you might as well turn off the game. The dead eyes and sure shots on the heli make light work of your soft flesh. The act of getting out of a car and running to another is made futile as by the time you have taken a step, the guy on the heli above you, quite a distance away, managed to "snipe" you with a rifle and take you out.

The fun the thrill of the police has gone, instead you dread the stars, because if you hit 2 and you are cornered, you're fucked. All these issues are infuriating when you think they haven't learnt from GTA 4. In that game, the police knew exactly where you were, but they still weren't perfect and you could get to 5 stars and still drive around and live. Here, they fixed the always knowing police issue and replaced it with enforcers with god mode turned on.

There's no doubt GTA 5 is a beast and excels in nearly every way. But there are some issues along the way.. 0

Let me first start out by saying that GTA 5 is without doubt, the best game I've played in years. But I'm not going to talk about what's right, other people have pretty much nailed it. Instead I'm going to talk about what annoys me about the game, and why it hasn't fully learned from GTA 4.First off, the cops. This time around they mean business and even seeing one star can result in high speed chases and gun battles. In fact the cops are so efficient, it's almost pointless taking them on. Even ...

Grand Theft Auto V Review 0

In a modern day of games that are made in a hurry in an attempt to squeeze as much money out of a franchise, this is a pure example of a game that was created, nurtured and as a result enjoyed tremendously when released. Games like this don't come around all too often, the opportunities and activities offered by this game are as close to endless as you'll get in an open world game nowadays. it's one of the only games where you can really do anything you want to. Driving cars, flying aircrafts, ...
