Undoubtedly IV for me.
Grand Theft Auto
Grand Theft Auto is a sandbox-violence game, that has drawn attention all over the world, and has pretty much become one of the most noticeable criminal-sandbox franchises ever.
Favorite 3D GTA Game?
Mine is San Andreas by a landslide.
I recently bought SA on Steam (my ps2 disc doesn't work anymore) and it's just as good as it was 3 or 4 years ago. I mean, I've beat the game at least 5 times and it's still great.
What really shocked me was how much stuff they took out of SA and didn't put in IV. There's about one and a half times the content in SA than in GTA IV. It's shocking, really.
I picked 4.
San Andreas is not good or fun! I don't see why everyone says it's so great!
You go back and play it and you realize the voice acting sucks, the shooting sucks, and the car driving sucks. After playing GTA4 and experiencing it's physics engine, San Andreas just doesn't hold up.
Nooooooooo.and the car driving sucks.
GTAIV's driving is ass.
San Andreas' is so much tighter.
I have the most memories of Vice City.
But I think I'd go with gay Toy. It had the best characters, a lot of development and progression, a great story and setting, and it brought back a lot of the crazy fun that IV was missing.
I've only played III and IV, and a friend gave me III after I'd beaten IV, so III seemed rather unrefined. I gave up on it after the first street race and got rid of it. With so little experience, I didn't feel like I was qualified to vote, but so far, IV without having tried Lost & Damned or Gay Tony yet (do you need a copy of IV to download Lost & Damned and Gay Tony, because I know you don't need it for the Episodes from Liberty City disc.)
I still wanna try San Andreas. Was gonna maybe get it on Xbox Originals, but now I'll probably do Steam instead, as soon as I figure out if my compy will run it.

At least I can turn in San Andreas!" @SJSchmidt93 said:

Plus the variety in the mission in SA is so much better.
" Vice City. Soundtrack was killer. Vice City > GTA 3 > Ballad > L&D > San Andreas > GTA 4 I'd put Saints Row 2 up there with Vice. "SR2 beats Vice City for having a better 80's station.
Land Down Under, karma Chameleon AND Final Countdown.
All it needed was some Journey.

I uninstalled GTA IV this morning. It just bored the hell out of me. There is just nothing to do besides the missions, which are not that great either. Where are the funny twists like using toy cars to blow shit or drop someone in a hole and fill it with cement? It's all comes down to straight up killing. It's all so petty and lowbrow, I guess that's the reason this game is so popular.
My favorite: Vice City.
" @Jimbo said:Vice City had Video Killed the Radio Star and 99 Red Balloons. You can't even beat that - it isn't possible." Vice City. Soundtrack was killer. Vice City > GTA 3 > Ballad > L&D > San Andreas > GTA 4 I'd put Saints Row 2 up there with Vice. "SR2 beats Vice City for having a better 80's station. I chose Vice City because it had the best soundtrack of the series and it was the first to introduce owning places, like the mansion, the malibu, the printing company, etc. I'm currently playing IV and the soundtrack just sucks, the only thing that I like is that Niko is a very good main character.
GTA 4, not even close. I remember almost beating San Andreas, Vice City and 3 and just giving up. At some point, San Andreas had flying tests which sucked ass. GTA4 is the first game where randomly killing people isn't 99% of the fun. TLAD would be second followed by III. Never played the PSP games.
" @SJSchmidt93 said:that mission was awesome." @TheMustacheHero said:Yeah well, honestly I just couldn't stand San Andreas, I never beat it and that Mission where you have to follow the train on the motorbike was almost impossible. San An-Muthafuckin-Dreas, hands down. Because I have more fun role-playing in it than any other GTA.
Vice was just the first one to actually flesh the style out. San Andreas actually gave you things to do with it.
GTA4 reformatted it. Now I expect the next standalone GTA to flesh out what was done in GTA4 in a similar way to what Vice City did.
It's a tie between Vice and Andreas, I cant decide, on the poll gut instinct said San Andreas,
Although IV is brilliant, you can't beat your memories of something, Because your memories of a good thing will be better,
Although I remember getting IV and having my Friends over, Rampaging, when I pulled out the rocket Launcher and it skipped under the car I was aiming at bounced, then it bounced of the wall of a building and shot down the Heli that was chasing me,
One word,
Only one.
Epic.
I liked IV 's soundtrack. I grew up with most of the songs on the VIBE (funny, the R&B station where I live is ViBE 100) and the Classics (Special Ed, MC Lyte, GangStarr, Bran Nubian! "Top Billin" by Audio Two is truly timeless!) I liked Fusion (love jazz) , IF99 and San Juan Sounds and JNR. I was working in a nursing home, and at one point we were playing this jazz collection that had some of the songs on JNR. I listened to a couple other stations, but those were my favorites. I could just drive around listening to those and be content.
San Andreas by far.
I like the '90s West Coast theme, CJ felt like a guy you could grow to sympathize with, and the game was just SO FUCKING HUGE. I beat it at least 5 or 6 times and it's still as fun as it was back in 2004. The shooting in that game was much more improved over the previous games that they just felt too clunky when going back to them. Plus, the greatest addition you could ever think of for GTA at the time: CJ could fucking SWIM. No more stupid drowning deaths.
