The French site which posted Sony's NGP specifications correctly well before an official announcement from them, and who also very recently claimed Nintendo next console is known internally as "Project Cafe" (as well as giving a brief run down of specifications in line with information from other, unconnected sources), is it at again. 01.net is now reporting that GTA5 will be one of the launch titles on Nintendo's next console, lol.

Well, it wouldn't be the first GTA title on Nintendo hardware, but I'd be surprised if this was true.

I just don't see Nintendo giving a damn about having GTA5 on their system considering how other M rated games have done in the past for them.

Good. I mean, people will bitch either way, because Nintendo's the America (or China in 10 years) of consoles. That's just part of being number 1. But hey, for people who honestly mean it when they say "I wish Nintendo got more 3rd party support", well this is good news.

That would be odd, but if the new hardware's as powerful as speculated it would be logical. 

They also said the Maginot Line was long enough, and look how that turned out.

It doesn't make sense to put so much money into developing an engine and only using it for the few games that they have used it with. I doubt the engine could easily and cheaply be ported to the new hardware. It makes more sense to use the tech on at least one more GTA game before moving on. Also, given how disappointing the last 3 GTA games were, if the next one was on new hardware that I don't give a shit about then that makes it easier for me to ignore a GTA release for the first time since GTA2.

As long as it comes to 360 and PS3 that's fine.

I believe this and it's very possible. Especially with Nintendo's seemingly new initiative to reach the "hardcore" crowd once again. They had showed the Saints Row game as an upcoming title upon the 3DS' revelation, I can easily see them continuing their mature gaming trend, expanding their audience.

This project cafe is simply the 3rd console of the "Xbox360-PS3-N6 generation". It will be more powerful than the other two but multi platform games will end up being very similar. If those 3 consoles have a long run (10 years) then the Wii will be remembered as a hugely profitable side project.
