It is completely unnecesary and really does not make a point. Who here cares which games have grass? Is it really that hard to deduct?
Grass
It's green and grows in the ground. This page is for games that use grass in some notable way, not for all video games that merely have grass in them.

Maybe it should just be limited to games where grass plays an active role instead of just aesthetics. (Example: Roller Coaster Tycoon, you have to mow it)
Common guys, seriously? Grass? What next... 'clouds'? Or how about 'ground'? (types frantically to be sure he is the one to add the pages)

Anyways, I agree grass is going kind of overboard.
The problem is it could be important, like in Sims: Mo' Mowin', but in many games its very unimportant. Too bad there's not an importance rating of objects in the game or a way to go from most to least important in a list.
This page is not for linking to every game/location containing grass. That's not the point of it.
Instead, it's a place for an article about the use of grass in games. What was the first game to use it and why? What technologies have been developed to improve the appearance of grass in games? Have any games used grass as an important gameplay mechanic?
We're all writing an amazing gaming encyclopaedia here. What if you wanted to know about grass in games? You come to Giant Bomb. Sorted.

or how in pokemon games the pokemon hide in the grass
We already have a water page....
Not pointless. I need to know what the first game was that used individual blades of grass in order to create a field.
I need to know how grass became interactive.
These are questions that NEED answering, and only Giant Bomb can provide them.
I think there's something to be said for grass in the context of long grass in the Pokemon games which features as a major concept. However then there's the debate over whether grass and long grass should be seperate articles. For now I'm putting in my vote to keep grass, it features as more than just a simple terrain type in a number of games.
