The obligatory tie-in videogame to the 2011 Green Lantern movie, this half-hearted brawler depicts a clash between the Green Lantern Corps. and their predecessors as guardians of the universe, evil robots known as the Manhunters.

Overview

Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters is an upcoming game being developed by Double Helix Games and set to be published by WB Games for release on June 7, 2011 alongside the theatrical Green Lantern film starring Ryan Reynolds. Versions of the game will be released on all major console platforms.

The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the games are brawlers where Hal Jordan uses his ring to create objects and destroy Manhunters, evil robots created long ago by the Guardians to protect the universe and who ended up committing mutiny and are hell bent on revenge ("No man escapes the Manhunters"). The player will be able to chain combos together which will spawn new creations from the ring such as spiked balls, a minigun and jet. The game comprises of 10 levels with three of them being on-rails in the vein of Star Fox or Sin and Punishment . You will also be able to level up Hal Jordan with new abilities with xp gained from objectives and enemies.

The DS and 3DS versions of the game are side scrolling adventure games.

This is the first Green Lantern only game.
