It's the Creative Director of Supergiant Games
These are the guys that gave Giant Bomb the exclusive on what their game is going to be -

Found on the Developer website -

Bastion  will also be featured in a new video series chronicling the making of the game, exclusively at GiantBomb.com, the world’s largest editable video game database. In the ongoing series titled “ Building the Bastion “, viewers will receive unprecedented insight into the trials and tribulations of independent game development through the story of Supergiant Games.
“People all over the world invest countless hours into playing video games, but so few of us ever get to truly find out how they’re made,” said Giant Bomb Editor-in-Chief Jeff Gerstmann. “With  Building the Bastion , we’re going let our community ride shotgun with a mix of behind-the-scenes footage and regular live broadcasts that let you interact directly with the developers as they take  Bastion  from early prototypes to a full and final product.”

Greg is writing all the dialog. This is a day 1 buy.

He's going to be the one responsible for writing all the dialog we see/hear in the game along with bring the world to life and giving everything a story.
The man is now on the way to PAX in a glorious 14 hour car trip with his fellow co-workers he met at EA LA.

Let us wish him all the best in his travels, both to and from Seattle, and in this new stage of life.

Dude! Awesome news, thanks for sharing this.

#3 Edited by Fjordson (2448 posts) -

Interesting. How long has this been in development? Wasn't he working on the new Spec Ops?

#4 Posted by Doctorchimp (4076 posts) -

Yea what happened to him and The Line?

Come to think about it, what happened to The Line?

#5 Posted by Pazy (2581 posts) -

I rather like the picture for the game and since he is attached im automatically more interested. I cant wait to hear what type of game it is and, with a lot of luck, see it in action.

@Kodo_Beast: No worries man.  I know I couldn't have been the only one who cares about the guy.

@Fjordson:

I'm not too sure about development.  The wiki says the company was founded in fall of 2009.  The wiki was written by some user named 'GregK,' so I'm thinking it might be a pretty reliable source.  So maybe not quite a year then...release sometime in 2011.
@Doctorchimp: The Line...we got some interviews from Greg himself at E3, so it's coming along pretty nicely.  Looking at an early 2011 release.
@Pazy: Yo, I hear you wanna hear about the new game . . .

Maybe you should put that in your post.

@LordXavierBritish: Good catch sir.  Took me a while to figure out how to change the font color, but it looks a bit better than being all bold.  This is really awesome.  I remember Greg and Jeff tried to get this thing going back at GS...they were actually going to follow a dev through the process of building a game, but they only did one issue of it.  Oh well, now its going to be bigger and better!  And a Giant Bomb exclusive!!

Bumping for new video feature.

Why is greg kasavin writing all the dialogue a good thing? I know he wrote reviews a while ago, but what other fiction has he written?

BECAUSE THAT MOTHERFUCKER IS SAVAGE

@Matthew:
I know GiantBomb had E3 stuff, but I thought it was coming this year. Plus I thought it was weird he jumped ship before it was released.

Supergiant Games?
They're totally trying to one-up Big Huge Games, aren't they? Hope to see a MegaMassive Games and TotallyEnormous Games studio pop up soon, too.

#15 Posted by Grissefar (2842 posts) -

He quit his 2K job and found a new game developer job? :(

Hello GregK,

Please choose Giant Bomb for your next job. You know you want to.

Bastion is going to be pretty savage.

#18 Posted by fuzzyponken (694 posts) -

I'm so fucking stoked for this game. Doubly now that I know Greg K is involved and that they're running a feature on GB for it. Awesome!

#19 Posted by FlipperDesert (2087 posts) -

Everything about the OP made me go ":D!"

#20 Posted by supermike6 (3564 posts) -

That's really cool. I'm excited for the video content and the game.

#21 Posted by Red12b (9084 posts) -

Wow, this is pretty sweet. Good looking out man
#22 Posted by KingGamer (81 posts) -

Ahh, cool news. Greg was my favorite GameSpot Editor. Sad when he left to develop games... He makes very good and informative reviews.

I guess that doesn't matter now since that's a long time ago. I'll need to take a look at this game when it comes out.

#23 Posted by Supermarius (1196 posts) -

reminds me of the art style from Legend of Mana and other Brownie Brown games.

#24 Posted by buzz_killington (3532 posts) -

I congratulated him on Twitter. This is amazing, and I'm so glad to see that Giant Bomb is getting some awesome exclusive content from Bastion, which looks genuinely cool.

#25 Posted by RagingLion (1365 posts) -

I twigged this after the initial announcement of Bastion and seeing that 'GregK' had edited the company's wiki and that on his blog he was announcing moving on to a new indie project.  Exciting stuff.

This is a really interesting approach to market a game.  I'm trying to work if the close ties and exclusivity to Giantbomb specifically are losing Supergiant games anything by not reaching out to the wider gaming press as much.  However, if this a decently sized video series then I can see a lot of Giantbomb viewers getting invested in this game just by watching the development process and then wanting to buy the game no matter what just to see how it turned out compared to the work we saw go into it.  Especially if GB users spread the game word of mouth this could be a really smart move in guaranteeing a core audience.

Also, I can't think of a more interesting form of new video content for GB.  Going to be one of the things I most look forward to from now on.

#26 Posted by Death_Unicorn (2838 posts) -

Is he still working on Spec Ops: The Line?

#27 Posted by NoXious (1338 posts) -

Oh man! New game content that'll give us an inside look into Bastion!
I am already in love with the game, what with Giantbomb getting the exclusives AND the released content.

#28 Posted by RipTheVeins (1546 posts) -

Now that you mention it, all of the voice work in that original trailer sounds like the guy is one sentence away from saying "savagery."  This is definitely good news.

#29 Posted by MKHavoc (1307 posts) -

Good to hear.  I always wanted another Indievelopment style video series.

That's pretty awesome.  I have always liked Greg over the years and wish him all the best in his newest venture in life.

#33 Posted by Jimbo (9814 posts) -

Ah, that explains the coverage for this game.

#34 Posted by Meteora (5787 posts) -
@CitizenKane: Woah! Double post there! =O

And gratz to Greg. Isn't he lurking around on this site with a mere 6 posts or so? I'm not sure if that's him or some random imposter.

Theres a GregKasavin who's an imposter, and then theres GregK, who's the real deal.
#36 Posted by Jayzilla (2562 posts) -

that's too bad about his work at SpecOps. I guess if a job comes around with a better title and a pay upgrade you take it.

#37 Posted by Meteora (5787 posts) -
@Matthew: Okay, got it. I just figured that the imposer would be posting a lot more if he really wasn't Greg.

It's actually him.  They gave out accounts to a few friends/former coworkers before the full site went up.
#39 Posted by JJWeatherman (14558 posts) -

That's pretty sweet. Hope it turns out well.

#40 Posted by Claude (16254 posts) -

Well I'll be a fart in the wind, good for him. If Greg were a video game, he would be a classic.

Classic or Platinum or Best Seller or Greatest Hit, etc.

This is the world if Independent Game Development...I don't really think he's going to be making more money (initially at least) than his previous gig.  I think this is more of a desire to get in on the ground floor of something, and do it the way you want to.
#42 Posted by Yummylee (21656 posts) -

A new job? I don't recall him retiring from the Master of Masterness occupation.

Greg Kasavin > Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw

There, I said it fanboys!

Go ahead and flame me!

#44 Posted by TheGreatGuero (9130 posts) -

Go Greg! This game looks pretty crazy. I think I'll buy it just to support my homie's creative genius. Still keepin' it real for the Gregmaster K!

#45 Posted by KingdomHearts93 (32 posts) -

Greg Kasavin was always among my favorite GameSpot editors/reviewers so I am obligated to be at the very least, be interested in this new game.  Anyone who takes game narratives seriously deserve respect.

#46 Posted by ZanzibarBreeze (3071 posts) -

Okay, but I'm still looking forward to Spec Ops.

#47 Posted by MrKlorox (11209 posts) -

So this is why his blog about game stories came about. Neat.

But it's not quite the type of game I think of when I think Greg Kasavin.

#48 Posted by ArbitraryWater (11741 posts) -

Well, this explains the exclusive Giant Bomb coverage. Now I have to start caring about Bastion.

#49 Posted by jakob187 (21671 posts) -

Um, wait...  So is he not working on The Line anymore, or is he handling both projects?

#50 Posted by Andorski (5310 posts) -

Finally I can say that Spec Ops: The Line looks pretty mediocre and cliche without feeling like a jack-ass.
